Chantilly SweettoothHP: 27/27 - AC: 16 - Perception: 15 - Insight: 11 - Inspiration: Yes Chantilly nodded slowly, her eyes transfixed on Zakkoth, unsure on the meaning behind his words. His meaning to live? She was certain of one thing, though. The girl got closer to Zakkoth and hugged him firmly, it was slightly painful due to the scales' hardness and a bit awkward cause of the height difference. " I'm happy that Leosin gave you the gift that changed your mind. Remind me to invite him to join us for when I'll cook." She squeezed Zakkoth tight one last time, hurting herself in the process, before letting him go. " But then..how did you meet with Leosin?"

Zakkoth were shocked. Such genuoine gesture. He wasn't sure when ever in more then a century of living someone hugged him. Like that.
It was quite the akward hug, Zakkoth was probably at least twice as tall as Chantilly.
He seemes in shock. Trying to process what happened. "Wh-what what were you saying?" After a repeat he took a seat holding his chest. "We two like millions of other people have followed the promises of Mina."

Chantilly SweettoothHP: 27/27 - AC: 16 - Perception: 15 - Insight: 11 - Inspiration: Yes Chantilly looked at him confused about his reaction. What was all that about? " Mina..? Oh!" - she pauses as she remembered all she knew about the Goddess of Tears - " Well.. She did a lot of bad stuff, didn't she..?" - she said sombrely, while massaging her neck. " But she also did a lot of good. It's not an easy world we live in, albeit beautiful." - she looks at the sky as she says so, the glow of the moons reflecting in her eyes. - " It's easy to do something wrong, thinking you're doing something right. But sometimes from something wrong could grow something good." Chantilly held out her hand towards the seated draconian, inviting him to take it with a smile on her face: " You don't want Leosin to drink a flat ale, right? Come on, let's go!"

"Well, I wasn't actually looking for advice," Eliana admits. "I was simply venting," she says with a small shrug. "But, to put it bluntly, I do like Caelin." She doesn't appear to be shy or embarrassed about admitting that fact either. "But, he does have issues that he is going to have to work out on his own, so I've been letting things just play out however they play out," she explains thoughtfully. "I'm just not used to being rejected." She realizes she sounds like a spoiled little rich girl, but that is what she is. She clears her throat a bit, as she seems suddenly embarrassed. Admitting she likes someone isn't embarrassing, but admitting that she is a spoiled rich girl is a little embarrassing. "But, enough about me. I dragged you away so you wouldn't have to face Nighthill alone." "No one really likes being rejected, Eliana. Doesn't feel you've been, though. Guess your plan is good as any other." Henry shrugs as well, then laughs a bit when she says about Nighthill "Does it shows so much that I'm scared of Lord Nighthill? I know, I know - he's honourable and all that. Still scared of him." then he waves his hand, an invite for Eliana to precede him "Ladies first."

He say to Caelin, "No moping so much, after the attention of the ladies. Aye? Caelin shrugged, "The way Henry handled our capture, he wasn't angry, wasn't pissed off, he just. Accepted it." Caelin shrugged, kicking a rock, " Guess I could learn something from him, but still, does't mean I'm not angry at what those guys took from these people." With a sweep of his hand he indicated the whole of Greenest, "Every family here has been touched by the violence, has lost someone, or something." He shook his head, visibly pushing the anxiety, frustration, and rage from his thoughts, "as the lady says," he nodded towards Chantilly, "let's get Leosin's ale to him before someone drinks it, eh?"

Eliana moves ahead of Henry, and turns to face him as she slowly walks backwards. "You aren't afraid of Nighthill," she says. "You already know what type of man he is, so you probably already know what he is going to say when you start talking to him. It doesn't stop you from fearing that he might confirm that what you did was dishonorable," she says with a sigh.

If anytime, Zakkoth looked old and confused. "W-what? Ah. Yess." He say. Seemingly deaf to what Chantilly and Caelin have said. "L-lets get the ale. To Leosin. Yes."

Henry follows Eliana while scratching his head, then shakes it a bit "Did what I thought was best. Didn't really like it, but I had to take a decision - wrong or right matters little, what matters is that I had to make a call." the squire sighs, then shrugs "You know, I'm not really Solamnic. Yes, I was born in Solamnia but grew up in an elven ghetto. Sir Frume took a great risk in giving me the chance to prove myself. And I feel like I let him down - him, and these people."

"Look around you, Henry," Eliana says as she motions to the whole celebration. "Do these people look like they have been let down by anyone?" she asks curiously. "If you took the time to speak to them, I can promise you that they aren't going to think you let them down," she tries to assure the squire. "You had to work harder to be where you are now, which means you are harder on yourself than you should be. We did the best that we could."

Temple of Habbakuk The temple is a large building, made of fieldstone with a peaked slate roof, and square in shape. It is taller than most other buildings in town. Some of the damage it suffered during the attack still remains. The front doors have been smashed open, but the debris has been removed and new doors are in the process of being installed. Some of the stained glass windows have been smashed; the glass has been cleared away, but it will be some time before new glass can be made and fitted. For now, the windows are simply boarded up to keep out the rain and other elements.
Inside, the temple is largely empty. Most of the people are at the fair, after all, including Brother Falconmoon. The place is still illuminated, however, by a series of small braziers. In the far back of the temple is an altar to the Fisher King, or Habbakuk, as he is known to the Solamnics. To the elves, he is known as the Blue Phoenix, while the Kender call him Skylord.
Walking to the very front, they find Leosin laying on one of the pews in the front row. The clerics have done what they can to make him comfortable. He has blankets and pillows, and some of the color has returned to his face from the rest and food and water he has received since returning to Greenest.
Greenest Keep The pair arrive in the keep's courtyard just as Lord Nighthill and his steward, Escobert, are on the way out. Nighthill has been patched and cleaned up, although he has need for a walking stick and has a noticeable limp from the injuries he took while fighting off the raiders.

Chantilly SweettoothHP: 27/27 - AC: 16 - Perception: 15 - Insight: 11 - Inspiration: Yes Chantilly looked in awe at the huge temple in front of her. The damage it suffered from the raid was noticeable, but nevertheless the building still maintained an air of distinguished prominence. " Look! There he is!" - she exclaimed, pointing at Leosin. She turned toward the others, lingering on Zakkoth especially. He had been silent since their conversation, and the last stretch of their short trip to the temple was much quieter. Did she say something wrong? " Z. do you want to talk with him privately first?" - Chantilly wouldn't have minded the wait, it was a while since she had the chance to visit a temple. And one of Skylord was particularly appreciated, since he was such a good companion to the Songmaster.

Zakkoth became grimmer and grimmer as they went closer to the temple. He had deep bond with Leosin. Of life. Of heart. And even soul.
They haven't seen each other for years, but one letter from Leosin was enough to send Zakkoth out of hos relative comfort. He shake his head with Chantilly. He didnt dared to face Leosin alone. there bond was over the darkest moment of Zakkoth's life. his complete loss. of faith and meaning.
Zakkoth fall to his knee, bowing his head. Zakkoth has worshipped his own heart now. And this spiritual journey started by the man infront of him.
"Leosin. I am happy to see you will live through. Of course, my debt will never be paid- you gave me more then my mortal life."

In my defense, I told you I wasn't that smart." Henry just shrugs and chuckles, then follows Eliana to the Keep. When they both reach it, the squire looks around trying to find Nighthill - he then points the limping figure to Eliana and approaches the older Knight. Henry clears his throat, bows with stiffed deference to his superior and says with formal tone "My compliments, Lord Nighthill. I would appreciate if you could spare a moment of your time."

Caelin Valaerys, pariah of TakhisisARMOR CLASS: 14 | HIT POINTS: 24 | CURRENT: 24 | HIT DIE: 3d8 | CURRENT: 3d8 PASSIVE PERCEPTION: 15 | PASSIVE INSIGHT: 17 | INSPIRATION: 1 Caelin felt uncomfortable in the chapel, maybe it was the stillness, or the silence. The graven faces staring blindly out from the walls, judging the living, their decisions, their victories, and their failures. He looked at Chantilly, shrugged as Zakkoth went and whispered in his gravelly voice to the injured monk, he spoke quietly, out of respect, not for the chapel, but for his friend. "Never saw much point to worship, deities, gods, dragons, they've no care for the lives of those beneath them, so why pretend they even listen?" He sat on a pew, this is where he'd pull out a dagger to pick the dirt from his nails, but having lost his weaponry, he was armed only with a straight razor concealed in his belt. He contented himself to pick one nail against the other to pass the time.

Temple of Habbakuk Leosin started slightly when Zakkoth spoke. The monk had either been in a deep meditative state...or was lightly napping. After spotting the kneeling bozak, he smiles warmly and manages to sit up a bit. "Ah, good to see you Zakkoth. Enjoying the festival? Brother Falconmoon says I should be ready to travel again by tomorrow. Good thing, too, because I have to meet someone in Solanthus soon."
After Caelin's comment, a man says, "Harsh words to speak about someone in their own house." Looking around, he spots a tall man with a wild mane of black hair and piercing blue eyes a couple of rows behind him. He's dressed in soft leathers that don't seem to creak at all when he moves. He must have silently slipped in after the party, because nobody noticed him when they arrived. He leans forward, resting his arms on the back of the pew in front of him and smiles. "Harsh, but some might say fair." He shrugs. "If you don't mind my asking, stranger, if you think so dimly of the gods, what are you doing in one's temple?" The question is asked in sincerity; he does not seem offended or looking to start a fight, but genuinely curious.
Greenest Keep Nighthill and Escobert halt upon the pair's approach. "Ah, Frume's squire...Henry, was it? And Miss Eliana, if I remember correctly. Good to see you both. We were just heading out to the fair. Is something the matter?"
