"Well, we have some time, so we should get to know each other," Kori says, gesturing to the Dwarf and Goblin in front of her. "Nice to meet you! I'm Kori."

Ravarie looks to Lalora to gauge her reaction to her brother's confidence in this matter before she finally says. "I can try to help you tame the griffon," she says. She was a druid after all, so it was possible that some of her magic might be useful in the matter.

Lalora just silently shakes her head at her brother's enthusiasm.
"Great, if you can keep it charmed while I tame it, that'll be much easier," Sorrith agrees.

"You want it to trust us, so charming it isn't the best idea, but I'll see what I can do," Ravarie says. Once they reach a shop, Ravarie will buy what Sorrith needs, and later on will pull Lalora aside when Sorrith isn't around to ask if she thinks her brother is being over confident.

Grubnick grins at Kori's enthusiasm. So what brought you into the group? Curiosity? Exploration? Or did you know anyone here first?

"Oh, I got kidnapped by pirates and rescued by them--and because I'm cursed to do good deeds, I figured I may as well come along and help with theirs."

While Sorrith is looking over different harnesses, Ravarie pulls Lalora aside and asks about his confidence. Lalora answers, "Of course he's overconfident. Have you met my brother? He never thinks things through, or ever has a plan. He's always been spontaneous and reckless."

"But he has been training to be a windrider for awhile," Ravarie says. "Is taming griffons part of the training?"

"Yes, it's awful, isn't it?" Kori says. "I can't sleep unless I've done a good deed recently. Horrific."

"But he has been training to be a windrider for awhile," Ravarie says. "Is taming griffons part of the training?" "I mean, yes, technically," Lalora answers. "But it's in a controlled environment, and the griffons are hatched and raised among elves their whole lives, so it's rather different than capturing a wild one."

"Maybe so...but we would at least be all together, as a family," Parpillia says sadly. "Do you not remember the tournament you participated in for my hand? You lost. But I still chose you anyway, because...it wasn't your honor I cared about. You weren't like the other knights, posturing about your own importance. I felt like you would always put me and our family, first. But you've changed...the man I married would never abandon his family for three years because of honor. Don't you understand that affected us far worse than anything you ever did in battle?" She shakes her head. "If we are a laughing stock now, it's not because of an act of cowardice on the battlefield. It's because you abandoned your family." She looks away sadly. "Maybe it would have been better if you had stayed dead. At least then we could have honored your memory..." Srill almost tempted to expose himself. He cover his face, as he cry quitly. What has he done? But exposing himself.. would even be WORSE. 'It might have been better, yes.' he say after a deep breath, swallowing his tears. 'You are right. But I have made promises.. I have promised your brother to finish off an evil mage at the forest, and companion of mine struggle for the freedom of her people.' He take her hand in his two hands. 'You and our children are coming first. I have lost the sight of what important- shall I break those promises?' he ask. Srill had a feeling that the silver dragon would cry tonight no matter what he choose.

Parpillia sighs. "That is up to you, to decide what is more important to you. Your promises and honor, or your family. Come along, children." She gestures for the three kids to follow her. "Do what you think you must do. And I will do the same. Dinner is at seven. If I see you there, or if I don't, then I'll know your answer."

"Griffons are smart creatures," Ravarie says. "Either he is going to have to find a young one, or I'm going to have to try to convince it to help us."

"In all likelihood," Lalora agrees. "That, of course, is all assuming we even bump into one in the first place."
