"Well, while he is doing that, I suggest the rest of us get some rest," Ravarie says. She looks to Grubnick for a moment. "Might I have a word with you?" she asks. Of course. he replies simply; leaving it to her to specify if it need be secretly.

Ravarie leads Grubnick inside the room she is staying in, and has him make himself feel comfortable before she starts speaking. "I'm not really sure I've told you my vague plans, but since you are going to be working with us, I thought I might tell you my ideas and maybe you can help me plan?" she says. "I'm not really sure how much you know about the Kagonesti, but many of my people are slaves to the Silvanesti," she explains. "I use to be one of them. I want to set my people free, but I want to do it in such a way that it doesn't involve bloodshed upon my cousins," she says. "I'm not really sure it is possible."

Grubnick listens, and ponders; a feature common to the dwarvenkind that partially raised him though not to his own heritage or religeon. Even so, it was an instilled layer of his mentallity at this point.
I must confess, I know little of the details of your people and their plight, aside from the general situation. As I think I mentioned before, I truly believe the goal of freeing them without bloodshed is a noble endeavor... he hesitates only briefly before continuing. It is overwhelmingly my experience that those who posess power of any kind are loathe to be relieved of it, even if for a worthy cause... and practically never without some measure of suffering on both sides.
Grubnick grows silent for a time, unconsciously itching at the large scar crossing his face. My faith, and even my personal journey has focused mainly on one thing. Balance. Tipping scales that are already tilted back towards the middle. Sirrion's teachings are more destructive than most, but in order to promote a new beginning. I, personally, tend to lean towards a more... moderate interpretation than many of my order. Practically speaking, I try to be sure there is no other reasonable way before sparking the tinder and consigning life to the flame... but by the same token, I believe it Is sometimes necessary.
The goblin pauses to let her digest where he is coming from. I have wandered much these last few years, mostly in search of a way to serve Sirrion... If you would help me understand some of the details better, I think I may be of some use.

"Well, where should we start then?" Chatty asks. 'Reynolds' laughs. "Come now, you're just jealous I'm better at this than you are. This puts me in the perfect position to take Broadblade's place, and then I rule all of Eastwatch. Imagine the chaos we could create then! Perhaps I can promote 'Hunner' to be my right-hand man...if you behave yourself."

"The bookcases!" Kori says. "There are always secret passages behind bookcases! And if there isn't, well, at least we'll have books. Do you like books?"

"Books? Not really. Well, maybe if they have lots of pretty pictures," Chatty answers. "So then, where can we find bookcases? I wonder if this place has a library or something?"

"What details would you like to know?" Ravarie asks. "All I know is that once my cousins came here to escape the war, the Silvanesti started to gather up the Kagonesti tribes in hopes of making us more...civil," Ravarie says. "In reality, they used us as slaves. The Qualinesti seemed more content with living with the Kagonesti. Matter of fact, they were the ones to help free me in the first place, but they aren't sure what to do with the people they free afterwards, so many end up being recaptured before they can be returned to their tribes," she explains. "I thought about trying to educate my cousins, but I can't even convince the two Silvanesti with me that their ways are wrong."

"Let's go ask someone!" Kori says, glancing around for someone who seems like they would know.

Looking around the hallway, Kori spots a servant (a young woman who looks to be Abanasinian) dusting some of the suits of armor lining the hall.

"Excuse me," she asks. "Do you know where the library is? We're 'not' looking for secret passages."

"The library is on the third floor, west wing," the woman answers. "Wait, secret passages?"

"I thought about trying to educate my cousins, but I can't even convince the two Silvanesti with me that their ways are wrong." Grubnick ponders the situation silently for a time. How are the Qualinesti going about freeing you, or others of your people in the first place? When the others are recaptured, how does that come about? Traps and chains? Threats? Magic? Another thing that may help understanding how to proceed is speaking with your two allies. You are free. They acknowledge that and even deign to follow you. How would they respond if someone came to enslave you again today? Tomorrow? A year from now? It might be interesting to hear their answers. It might trigger a line of thought for them. If you can understand the way they and their people see the situation, it may be easier to combat.

"No, 'not' secret passages. Thank you!" Kori says, picking up Chatty and leading her to the library.

"Wait...what?" the maid asks, but they are already gone, so she shrugs and goes back to work.
They find the library easily enough. It's a large room that is wall to wall shelves full of books, and a sort of reading area in the center consisting of a round table and several chairs, plus a lounging couch. There must be hundreds of books total, it's hard to say for sure.
