Grubnick wilk take up a position near the front and strike up a conversation with Sorrith. So you've been trained to tame and ride griffons? That's pretty amazing. How did you ever find yourself involved in something like that?

Kori, following right behind Grubnick and right after Chatty, listens to his and Sorrinth's conversation.

Regar takes up a middle or rear position and merely observes things as they go keeping kind of quiet and to himself.

"Before I was banished, I was in training to become a Windrider," Sorrith answers. "Had things gone differently, I'd have my mount already. I was about to complete my training and acquire my mount before...everything fell apart." ================= (OOC: So like this? Sorrith/Grubnick/Ratt Chatty Kori/Habbakuk Ravarie Regar/Excelsior Lalora)

Ravarie quietly walks behind Kori, as she doesn't really have much to say. She can't help but wonder if all of this is going to work out in the end.

So you basically have all the training you need. That's good. Experience is a great teacher as well, so hopefully you'll find a mount. grubnick grins. I don't know that I've ever seen a griffon before. Are there any clues I should keep an eye out for along the way? Or are we just hoping to spot one hunting in the sky?

"Make sure you look at its hind legs," Kori pipes in. "If they look like a horse's, it's not a griffon. It's a hippogriff. I'm sure you'll realize that wrangling a hippogriff when we mean to wrangle a griffon would be a disaster."

Regar still kind of in his own little world just keeps watching all around and behind the group as they go keeping still quietly to himself having nothing to add to any conversations currently.

"I don't know that I've ever seen a griffon before. Are there any clues I should keep an eye out for along the way? Or are we just hoping to spot one hunting in the sky?" "Well, they usually hunt in packs, but if we're lucky we might find one by itself. They love the taste of horseflesh; it's a pity we don't have any with us for bait. Anyway, they tend to nest in high places, like mountains. Ideally we might find one of their nests and I can snag an egg or a fledgling to raise," Sorrith explains. "Make sure you look at its hind legs," Kori pipes in. "If they look like a horse's, it's not a griffon. It's a hippogriff. I'm sure you'll realize that wrangling a hippogriff when we mean to wrangle a griffon would be a disaster." "I am well aware of the difference between the two," Sorrith notes dryly.

"He knows the difference, of that I'm sure," Ravarie says. "He use to take me to see the griffons every once in awhile."
