"She...does not know your tongue," Snapjaw says. He says something to her in Draconic. She responds, rather venomously. The two begin to argue in said language for a bit.
The basic gist is, the female believes the 'mammals' cannot be trusted, as they are strangers and they just killed a bunch of the Jarak-sinn. Snapjaw argues that they are not all mammals (Zakkoth), and that Eliana in particular 'smells of dragons' and anyway, this might be their best shot at overthrowing the Bullywugs. The female remains resolute, though; she cannot seem to forgive the party for slaying her kin.

Chantilly "Cinnamon" SweettoothHP: 18/43 - AC: 17 - Perception: 17 - Insight: 11 - Inspiration: No Chantilly tries to follow the heated exchange, her eyes darting from one lizardfolk the other as they discuss. When she sees that the woman doesn't seem to agree with Snapjaw, she tries to interject to help him win the case. " Me." - she says pointing to herself. - " You." - she continues, pointing at the tied up jarak-sinn. - " Friends!" - she goes on, interwining her index fingers together. - " We beat the Bullywug!" - the half-kender concludes, conjuring up a minor image of a frog, before cutting it up with one of her knives. " So...Friends?" - she finally asks, showing her most angelic smile.

Eliana tries not to laugh at Chantilly as she tries to communicate with the female Jarak-sinn. "She isn't convinced. We just killed a bunch of her people," she points out. With that said, she turns to speak to the two Jarak-sinn in their language. "We did kill a lot of your people, but we also didn't know your plight at the time," she explains. "I did try to convince all of you to go ahead towards the storage room, but you didn't buy the lie so you attacked instead. As a result, we defended ourselves," she points out. "We obviously have the power to help you, and we are willing to do so. Also, is Black Death, as you call the dragon, working with the elf and the dragon kneelers?" she asks. They mentioned that she smelled of dragon, and it kind of dawned on her that maybe Black Death was a dragon.

Snapjaw nods. "Black Death work with dragon kneelers. Bullywug work for dragon kneelers. Jarak-sinn work for Black Death. Black Death not stop Bullywugs from hurting Jarak-sinn. Jarak-sinn must save Jarak-sinn. But many Jarak-sinn refuse," he casts a glance to his companion.

"It is quite unfortunate so many of them died, but it also has to be said they attacked us." Henry says, frowning like he's not entirely convinced by the good faith of the Jarak-sinn but accepting the decision Eliana made "But if she doesn't believe we could help her people, we might just let her go when we depart for the castle tomorrow. Until then, I would suggest to keep her restrained and treat her as a prisoner of war under Solamnic law." The words of snapjaw catch the squire's attention that asks to the former prisoner "Why is that? I mean, why your people won't fight back against their oppressors?"

"Bullywug shaman kill Jarak-sinn shaman," Snapjaw answers. "Many Jarak-sinn feel have no power without shaman to lead. Many Jarak-sinn in awe of Bullywug shaman's power. Many Jarak-sinn revere Black Death, who make deal with Bullywug and Dragon Kneelers. Many Jarak-sinn lose hope."

"I don't know, maybe you should stop worshiping the Black Death," Eliana says with a shake of her head. "But we will help you, but first we need to get some rest."

Snapjaw shakes his head. "Not worship. Jarak-sinn not Dragon Kneelers. Respect Black Death. Black Death powerful, dangerous. Worthy of respect. But is no god."

Henry - HP: 39\44 - Conditions: None - Active Effects: None--------------- Henry struggles a bit to put himself in the Jarak-sinn's shoes, but he starts to understand these people better and maybe has found something to work with. He slowly nods and answers to Snapjaw "Thanks. And maybe before the end your people might find hope again." then turns to the other Jarak-sinn "Snapjaw, please tell your companion here that she is a prisoner. She'll be fed and receive water, but she'll have to stay in a hut and not leave it unless given permission. If she complains, ask her if she believes to be more dangerous than us." that said, the half-elf cracks his knuckles in a threatening display - not that he really wants to hurt anyone else right now, but it does seem the Jarak-sinn respect strength and power. {Spoiler}If needed, here an Intimidation roll (can I get advantage because the party has beaten the Jarak-sinn quite soundly?) The two Jarak-sinn exchange words briefly in their own language, then Snapjaw says, "She will obey."
Jamna whispers softly to Henry, "You sure it won't be better to just slit her throat and be done with it?"

Come on, Snapjaw, Zakkoth here was going to tell us a ghost story." - she says, as she lays back once again, feeling a bit tired after the long day.

Henry - HP: 39\44 - Conditions: None - Active Effects: None--------------- Jamna whispers softly to Henry, "You sure it won't be better to just slit her throat and be done with it?" Henry steps a couple metres away from the group and waves for Jamna to follow him, just so that the two Jarak-sinn might have a harder time listening to their conversation. That done, he whispers to the half-gnome back "Yes, it might be safer that way." he concedes to her point "But not necessarily better. Last time we made our way into one of the Cult's stronghold, we were vastly outnumbered and I believe this time is going to be the same; now we however have the chance to make some friends out of our enemies and killing one of them in cold blood might jeopardize that." the squire tries to get his point across without resorting to any moral lecture - he doubts Jamna might be responsive to that "Of course, it does not mean I trust them blindly but I believe that the potential reward is worth the risk at the moment. And I hope you will help me in keeping an eye on them - I mean, I'm mostly brawn with barely enough brain so I might not spot signs of treachery." the squire chuckles, slightly amused by his own joke and then nods appreciatively to the spy "Thanks for having shared your doubts with me, Jamna."{Spoiler} Daos Tell me if you need a Persuasion roll so that Jamna won't kill the prisoners while we sleep.

"So what do you plan to do with her?" Jamna asks. "Just leave her here? What's to stop her from warning the others we're coming?"

"Well, they obviously need boats to traverse this swamp. If we take them all, she would have some troubles to warn anyone at the castle." Henry shrugs, taking this possibility into account even though it is certainly not enough to change his mind "We could ask Snapjaw if there are other routes for the castle, but there's a good chance the Cult might be alerted to our presence well before she could make it to their stronghold." the squire then nods towards the direction they came from "She might try to contact someone at the Roadhouse, but if the cultists there can send a message to their counterparts at the castle - well, it's already too late now."
