The group travels for an hour or so, when Henna signals them from the back. "Bad news," she warns quietly. "We're being shadowed."

“What?” Lillian says, sounding rather indignant. “By who?” She can’t imagine why anyone would wish to spy on this particular mission.

"Shh," Henna warns. "I don't know, but they're good. I was lucky to even notice them at all," she whispers. "We need to be on guard, but shouldn't give away that we know."

"Just keep moving," Ladonna says softly. "Sooner or later, they will make themselves known."

Lillian nods and does as Henna suggests.

Henna unslings her bow and holds it in her lap as she rides Lissa, an arrow in her hand just in case. After another hour of travel or so, suddenly Henna says, "There!" and quickly nocks and looses the arrow at some shrubberies behind them. Immediately, a figure dressed all in black rolls out of the bushes in time to avoid the arrow--the Midnight Bandit. Quick as lightning, she slings a stone overhead and hurls it forward. The stone strikes Henna's hand, causing her to cry out and drop her bow.

Oh, not you again, Lillian thinks to herself. She and the Bandit had got off on the wrong foot last they met--though she had to admit, it was mostly her fault. Nocking an arrow in her shortbow, she calls out, "I don't suppose you're willing to have a chat, Miss Bandit?"

"Oi, yer the arses shooting at me!" the Midnight Bandit protests.

"Please forgive Henna. She was merely being cautious. She had no idea if you were friend or foe." Hopefully, the Midnight Bandit was more of the former today. "So, what were you following us, for?" As she asks that, she idly wonders if this is the same Bandit she met before. She doesn't remember her accent being that strong.

"Someone usually stalking us in a forest is a foe," Ladonna says. She wasn't exactly fond of the Midnight Bandit, so upon seeing her again she didn't exactly have the patience for her. "Why are you following us?" she asks.

"Because you owe me!" she declares, her accent going back to normal. "You two have made my life worse than the Ninth Hell, and whatever it is you're up to, I want a cut of it."
There is something oddly familiar about her voice to Lillian.

"Hold on, let me talk to her," Lillian suggests. She moves away from the group to speak with the "Bandit" in private.
"Forgive me if this is impertinent, but...you wouldn't happen to be Miss Amaranthine Haywise, would you?" she asks.

"I have many aliases," the Midnight Bandit says noncommittally. "What, did you think my parents named me Bandit, Midnight?" she asks sarcastically.

"No, I was just wondering if you were the same woman who saved my life two months ago. Thank you for that, by the way. Presuming it was you, anyway," Lillian says. "I'm sorry for making your life hell, as it were--it was hardly my intention--but I'm not certain there's much of a cut for you to get out of this escapade. We're trying to find a friend of Ser Marche's before she does something rash. Like Polymorph herself into a Human."

Ladonna looks about ready to retort, but Lillian wants to talk to her, so she remains quiet for the time being.
