Perdites "I can command it to hold back but yes if you set it ablaze we should all prepare to not be in front of the creature. Best bet come in here I'll send it out there where the zombies were by the altar set if on fire and we close the hidden door it won't know how to open it. Then you can go through my chest of things take what you want and bring me along as your prisoner." the chaotic cleric offers.

"Uh, okay. I guess that would work." Daos digs in his pack, removing a flask of lantern oil and a torch. He then dumps the lantern oil on the flesh golem, coating it the best he can.

...the chaotic cleric offers. OOC: I don't know about that. He seems pretty organized to me!
IC: Roshek enters Perdites' room, keeping a weather eye on him all the time in case of treachery.

This is clearly where the tomb robbing cleric who commanded the undead has cached his treasures! Beside the rough pallet bed is a chest. Resting by that is a staff of ashwood. There are a couple of bags on a table, and a black cloak hanging on a peg by the far wall. The cloak is of fine material, with silk lining and gold clasps. One bag contains 350gp, the other 1OOpp. The chest is locked. Perdites wears chainmail armor, his weapon on the floor is a footman's mace. On his back is still strapped a shield.

Once the golem is thoroughly coated in oil, Daos uses his flint and steel to light it up.

It's probably the oddest thing to watch the odd patchwork flesh golem stands there unmoving, unblinking as you cover it in oil and then set it aflame. Unlike a human it does not flail around or drop and try to extinguish the fire. The room begins to smell badly like rotting flesh cooking. The cleric Perdites issues a silent command and the golem leaves the room and exits through the door you all entered the room through. Once the golem is out by the altar Perdites closes the door and presses a trigger that makes a locking mechanism lock the door so it cannot get back in. "Alright, since that is done, or will be soon enough what of me? To the hangman's noose I suppose?" Perdites asks.

You're awfully casual about all of this. I must say, I'm perplexed. I suppose we would take you to the town whose loved ones you raised and see what their laws and adjudication require..

Perdites sighs "Well I not all folks are villains in the way you might read about, or hear in bard songs you know. But I can act as such if you would prefer."

"We're just surprised by how...blase you are about your potential death," Daos remarks. "Well, in any case, I guess we'll bring you to the people of Stallanford and they'll decide what judgment, if any, you should face."

"Aye, they sent us here and they can decide how to deal with you," Roshek agrees. "Before we go, however, you will be divested of everything but your robes and you will open that chest for us."

Perdites "As you wish master dwarf. I'm accepting of my fate. My goddess will see fit of me what she will be it in death or life I still serve her that master elf is why I am so as you put it blase about it." he takes his shield off his back and off his robes to remove his armor and places them on the floor where he placed down his mace earlier. Then putting his robes back on over his tunic and trousers he walks over to the chest takes the key out of his robe pocket and opens the chest then steps away.
The chest contains a bag with 400gp, a sack with 700sp, a bottle of odorless green liquid, and-in a wooden casket-a spectacular gold tiara set with emeralds and rubies.

Once the party has gathered up all of the treasure, Daos will lead the way back to the surface.

Roshek picks up the tiara and inspects it closely. "Planning on having yourself a fancy dress party?" he asks Petrides.

Perdites "It's not like the orcs were going to need it anymore." he scoffs.
Eventually all of the loot is gathered and you escort your lone prisoner back to Stallanford greeted by the locals in their typical fashion dubbing you the "Heroes of the town" Perdites is put into a cell by the local guard, for whatever is determined to be his fate that is unknown at the moment since he has done no crimes to the town they aren't sure what to do with him currently. You eat, drink, rest and divide up your haul selling off whatever you do not need or at the very least exchanging things for coin. One of the local farmer's reports that his halfling helper Haribal Flatfeet is missing he hasn't seen him for two days. Other locals recollect the same nobody in town has seen the halfling since the night the priest was taken by the orcs.
