Arthogate puts his weapons away and stands as a look out until the group is ready to move on.

It takes a couple of minutes, but eventually the statues crumble, freeing the trapped weapons. Meanwhile, Kaelestia does what she can to patch herself up.
Once his trident is back in hand, Sha'al carefully moves forward, at the ready. As soon as he steps through the stone arch, however, he vanishes from sight completely.
When Sha'al steps through the arch, the surrounding area immediately changes. The forest is gone--he now finds himself at the entrance of an impressive but fairly small city. The architecture looks ancient, almost Istarian. There's a temple to Paladine, a large palace made of beaten brass, and a huge hourglass in the center of the town square (in which the sand is perfectly still). Numerous people walk around, some stopping to gawk at him curiously. There's also magic everywhere. He sees carriages flying overhead, being pulled by ghostly flying horses. A magical projection of a man hovers over a small device, speaking the local news and current events to anyone paying attention. Rainbow colored lights swirl around a nearby fountain, putting on a small light show of sorts.
Looking behind him, Sha'al does not see his companions or the forest he just left. Only an open road leading outward toward the horizon. The gate is still there, although now in good repair and part of a wall that surrounds the entire city.
==========
Kaelestia makes a healing check on herself (1d20): 9, pass. She restores (1d3): 3 HP to herself, and improves to lightly wounded.

"Of course," Sumina says, but so Sha'al won't be alone, she doesn't waste anytime following through the arch portal.

Kaelestia
Hp: 10/12 - AC: 5 Kaelestia nods and holding Ferd's reins with one hand and a still shaken up Parra with the other, she walks toward the arch: " Came on, children. Let us see what awaits us beyond this... Magical archway." - she says, before passing through it.

Arthogate waits until everyone has gone through the magical archway and then follows them.

"Yay, magic!" the children yell, and all run through, vanishing just like Sha'al did. The others file in after them, one by one, also vanishing from sight.
When they step through the arch, the surrounding area immediately changes. The forest is gone--they now find themselves at the entrance of an impressive but fairly small city. The architecture looks ancient, almost Istarian. There's a temple to Paladine, a large palace made of beaten brass, and a huge hourglass in the center of the town square (in which the sand is perfectly still). Numerous people walk around (in fashions centuries out of date), some stopping to gawk at them curiously. There's also magic everywhere. They see carriages flying overhead, being pulled by ghostly flying horses. A magical projection of a man hovers over a small device, speaking the local news and current events to anyone paying attention. Rainbow colored lights swirl around a nearby fountain, putting on a small light show of sorts.
Looking behind them, they do not see the forest they just left. Only an open road leading outward toward the horizon. The gate is still there, although now in good repair and part of a wall that surrounds the entire city.
Sha'al is standing there, gawking in awe. However, the children are all not among them, although the party definitely saw them enter the portal and vanish.

Kaelestia
Hp: 10/12 - AC: 5 Kaelestia slightly nods toward the hourglass: " I think we have found the sand we were looking for." - she says, before looking around at the rest of the city: " Although I would not mind understanding what exactly is going on here for starters."

New scars were added to Parra's endless collection, as everything has gotten dark. Not now. Nuitari. Gods- dont be coward- Give me a chance!
Are her last thoughts.
--- (08/12 hp) But she wake up, spitting blood, and Kaelestia was there again. She owed her again. Parra gotten up to sitting position, not daring to look at her. "Thank you." she grumbled, and was very humbled and quite for a short while.
Parra groaned as they had to follow the small vermins again. But she gasped at amaze at the wonderouse scene around her. Kenders or not.. she has stopped and started to flip through the pages in her books.

Sumina was standing there, staring in awe just like Sha'al was. "What is this place?" she asks softly.

Several people stop and notice the party and comment to themselves. "Must be newcomers," they mutter, before moving on.
================
(OOC: Parra failed the history check, but passed the spellcraft check. But I have no idea what the spellcraft check was for, so...not sure how to respond to it.)

Kaelestia
Hp: 10/12 - AC: 5 As another person stops by to comment on their star-struck appearance, Kaelestia approaches them: " My apologies. We have indeed just arrived here. Could you perhaps explain to us what is this place? And if there is someone in authority we may speak with?"

"This is the City of Dreams, newcomer. Our leader is Archmage Goriden, savior of the last remnant of Edon," says the stranger. "Listen up quickly, it is morning now, so we are heading to the temple to pray. Then we eat breakfast in the city square. Following that is work and then at sunset is dinner. In the evening there is carousing, plays and the arena, before bed. This is our routine. I suggest you get used to it quickly." And with that, the stranger turns and continues walking toward the temple without another word.

(OOC: This is what Spellcraft does:
As Parra has not witnessed anyone cast a spell, I wasn't sure what she was looking for.)
