Okay, then here's his stat block. If it looks good to you, I'll add it to the Character Stats thread.

Now to the questions:
1) Short bows have a single range category. Does that mean they use a separate type of arrow or that regardless of the type used that is the fixed range? I guess the latter, but I couldn't find the confirmation in the manual (it's more than possible I missed it among the sea of information). Specifically, I need to know this to understand the damage that short bows do. If I interpreted correctly is 1d6 with flight arrows and 1d8 with sheaf arrows with a fixed range.
2) It's reasonable to assume that the bow and arrows I have at the start of the game have been with me for more than a month and are well cared for, right?
Referring to the following Archer skill: 'If the Archer keeps and cares for a bow for more than a month and keeps her arrows sharpened to a keen edge, she may cause 1 hp of additional damage when using these items.'
3) I have no certainty, so I prefer to ask. Specialization in bows, of any kind, only gives access to the point-blank range category (+2 to attack rolls if within that category and the ability to attack before the initiative roll if you have an arrow nocked), right?
Also, you have the ability to attack before initiative once if the arrow is nocked only and only if you are in that range category if I have interpreted correctly.
4) I have a doubt about the interpretation of this excerpt: 'If she chooses to stand still and fire, she may increase her rate of fire to 3/1; however, this enables enemy archers to target her more easily.' What does it mean specifically that I become easier to hit?
That's all I can think of at the moment. I'm sorry for the time it's taking me to make the character, but this is my first foray into the second-edition rules, so it's a lot to take in.
Since I'm a newbie, I may have made mistakes compiling the character sheet.
Concerning background and personality, I plan to work on that tomorrow when I read the lore of the setting. I'm already clear on what kind of character I want to play anyway. I just need to fit the pieces together with the lore.

I went over your character, and it looks good. No issues. As for your questions: 1) Short bows have a single range category. Yes, regardless of what kind of arrow used, short bows have the same range. So there's little point in using flight arrows with a short bow. You'd be doing less damage for the same range. This is because short bows are too small to make full use of a flight arrow's range. 2) It's reasonable to assume that the bow and arrows I have at the start of the game have been with me for more than a month and are well cared for, right? Referring to the following Archer skill: 'If the Archer keeps and cares for a bow for more than a month and keeps her arrows sharpened to a keen edge, she may cause 1 hp of additional damage when using these items.' Yes, that's fine by me. We can say it's been awhile since he first acquired the bow. This is correct for both, yes. 4) I have a doubt about the interpretation of this excerpt: 'If she chooses to stand still and fire, she may increase her rate of fire to 3/1; however, this enables enemy archers to target her more easily.' What does it mean specifically that I become easier to hit? I think it is just referencing the fact that if you are standing still when firing your bow, then you are not moving in and out of cover, which makes you an easier target, generally speaking. I don't think there's any mechanical disadvantage, like your AC worsens, or anything like that.

Now that I'm done with the technical questions, I'll start with the lore-related ones lol
1) In the descriptions of the races, and even within the page where the setting of Renosia is briefly outlined, there are several mentions regarding the Carnage War, but in neither source, it's explained what it is. It seems to be a key pillar of the setting, so I would like to explore this topic further, to better understand the history of the world. Can I delve more into the subject somewhere? If not, could you give me a quick summary of the topic?
2) Drow society is described as divided into Houses. From what I gathered from the description, they seem more like castes than household units. Is my interpretation correct? In that case, I imagine that each House is composed of several households. Are they something similar to interest groups?
3) Is Drow society in this setting unified under a central power or is it made up of various city-states and micro-governmental entities? I guess the latter, but better be sure than sorry xD Could you also suggest to me a home city for my PC different from that of Matt and GravityEmblem's characters?
4) I gather that, unlike the classic depiction of the drow in D&D, in this setting the drow society is not strongly monotheistic - complete with oppression for divergent faiths - except for the House of the Wolf. Still, are there any deities particularly opposed in Drow society?

1) In the descriptions of the races, and even within the page where the setting of Renosia is briefly outlined, there are several mentions regarding the Carnage War, but in neither source, it's explained what it is. It seems to be a key pillar of the setting, so I would like to explore this topic further, to better understand the history of the world. Can I delve more into the subject somewhere? If not, could you give me a quick summary of the topic? It's largely explained here. 2) Drow society is described as divided into Houses. From what I gathered from the description, they seem more like castes than household units. Is my interpretation correct? In that case, I imagine that each House is composed of several households. Are they something similar to interest groups? Yes, the Houses are basically castes. Each House is comprised of multiple families. 3) Is Drow society in this setting unified under a central power or is it made up of various city-states and micro-governmental entities? I guess the latter, but better be sure than sorry xD Could you also suggest to me a home city for my PC different from that of Matt and GravityEmblem's characters? The Drow are a bit too Chaotic to have a unified government. Yes, they operate out of independent city-states that sometimes war with each other. If you don't want your character to be from the same city-state as the other PCs (Elendarkyorl), then perhaps I'd recommend the city-state of Lamilundlin. 4) I gather that, unlike the classic depiction of the drow in D&D, in this setting the drow society is not strongly monotheistic - complete with oppression for divergent faiths - except for the House of the Wolf. Still, are there any deities particularly opposed in Drow society? The Drow revere Renos above all others, as they generally see him as the strongest god. However, Drow society does tolerate worship of Gonto and Crizza, as well. Generally speaking, Octhanus worship is not permitted. She is seen as weak. Octhanus, after all, teaches mercy, compassion and defending the weak. She is the complete opposite of Renos, who teaches strength, ambition and power.

{Hystory}Sylas was born into the Xyndric Household – belonging to the House of the Dragon in the drow city of Lamilundlin – in the year 290. He was one of the many children of the Xyndric matriarch, trained from an early age in the manipulation of magic and the use of stealth and subterfuge to serve the Household's machinations and plots, as per ancient traditions when it was still part of the House of the Serpent.
His skill in the magical arts proved at an early age to be superior even to those of his sisters. Here his first doubts regarding his place in the world and why a man could not ascend to the highest ranks of drow society despite his talent began to surface. His questions, uncertainties, and dissatisfaction led him to use his talents at infiltration to search the forbidden wings of the Xyndric palace and to seek out the proper tools and the prohibited knowledge needed to overthrow the family and seize power, overtly or otherwise, first over the Xyndric lineage and then over Lamilundlin itself.
After several years of cautious research to avoid attracting attention, his work bore fruit. He managed to piece together enough information to cause the collapse of several of the Dragon House lineages, including his mother's, and to secure enough allies, albeit ignorant of his true ambition, in the lesser houses hoping to ascend the hierarchical ladder.
Unfortunately, his plan went up in smoke when one evening matriarch Xyndric discovered him collecting the last necessary data in the head of the family's study. Although Sylas tried to justify his presence as mere curiosity or coincidence, his mother was a shrewd woman, having maintained her position for years and years within the cruel drow society and so she decided to subject her son to a magical investigation of his memories, a cruel treatment reserved for political enemies. Learning his plans, the furious matriarch condemned her son to the cruellest punishments in drow society. Sylas was deprived of his name of Xyndric, eternally banished from his own family, deprived of all knowledge pertaining to magic and the secrets of his own lineage through the destruction of part of his memories, deprived of his magic by the destruction of his body’s internal structures that handle mana, and perpetually exiled to the surface, where he was to suffer all his life under the ruthless sun.
Defeated and deprived of everything that belonged to him, including his power and talent, in order to survive Sylas was forced to put up for sale what he had left, his skill with the bow, driven by hatred of the drow and his own family to survive in defiance of his executioners.
After many years of service as a mercenary, one day he met a drow looking for a sellsword for some mission on the surface. At first, he approached her only to learn what the true purposes that had driven a treacherous female drow to the surface were, ready to kill her if she posed a danger, but then the relationship with this drow, Zemora, became one of trust and friendship, although Sylas refuses to this day to talk about his past. It was a relationship that lasted to the present day and led Sylas to join the detective agency with her.
{Personality}Independence: Sylas values his freedom and independence above all else. His decision to relegate the Deep Veldt forever to his past and forge a new life on the surface demonstrates his desire to live on his terms, free from the constraints of drow society.
Resilience: Exile is a harsh punishment, and Sylas has had to endure many challenges to survive on the surface. He possesses a deep reservoir of inner strength and determination that allows him to weather adversity and keep moving forward.
Mystery: Sylas is guarded and secretive about his past. He rarely shares details about his life in the Deep Veldt or the circumstances that led to his exile. This aura of mystery and the secrets he keeps contribute to his enigmatic persona.
Adaptability: Life on the surface vastly differs from the Deep Veldt, and Sylas has shown the ability to adapt to new environments and situations. He is resourceful and quick-thinking, able to navigate the challenges of the surface world.
Cautious Trust: Sylas is slow to trust others, given the betrayals and treachery he witnessed in the Deep Veldt. He may keep his distance and assess people's motives carefully before allowing them into his inner circle.
Loyalty: If someone manages to earn Sylas's trust and loyalty, he will stand by their side through thick and thin. He values deep and meaningful connections, even if they are few and far between.
Pragmatism: Sylas is a realist who understands the harsh realities of the world. He is willing to make tough decisions and compromises to survive and achieve his goals.
Haunted Past: Beneath his stoic exterior lies a haunting past that still affects him emotionally. Memories of his family, the trials of his exile, and the perceived betrayal that led to his departure from the Deep Veldt continue to shape his actions and decisions.
{Appearance}Sylas possesses the distinctive physical features of a drow, but he takes great care to conceal his identity while living on the surface, covering every inch of his body with his own clothing. He often dons a hooded cloak, which obscures his hair and partially shrouds his face in shadow. He may also wear a mask or veil and he always dons a pair of gloves.
Sylas has ashen-grey skin typical of drow, which can appear almost black in dim lighting. His hair is a stark contrast to his pale skin, flowing like cascading obsidian silk down to his shoulders. Sylas's most striking feature is his lavender-coloured eyes. He possesses a lithe and agile frame, common among drow.
When not actively concealing his identity, Sylas typically wears dark, form-fitting clothing designed for both mobility and stealth. He prefers garments that blend seamlessly with the shadows, allowing him to move discreetly and remain inconspicuous.
Ops, I had almost forgotten. Sylas, once exiled to the surface, began worshipping Crizza as the god of freedom, trickery, and luck (which he needed in spades lol).

Okay, that looks good to me. Here's the stat block I wrote up for him:
Assuming that looks good to you, I'll add it to the others.
I've fallen ill recently, but as soon as I'm well again, we'll see about starting this game up.

Just two things:
1) The number of flight arrows should be 60 (5*12), not 15. 2) Can I leave the rope in storage to decrease encumbrance for now?
I don't see any other problems.
Get well soon, Daos!
