Is there anyone that gets paid for the shipping? Is it correct that there would be at least one business broker? Yeah, there are government employees who ensure packages go where they are supposed to and such, not unlike the US postal service. Which means there are undoubtedly records of the package being received and where it wound up. Can Livana reroll insight now that Mila has behaved so strangely? You want to reroll the Insight check on whether Mila was lying or not? Yeah, I guess so. Go ahead.

Also I figure that after the court room is done resolving we will probably cut Livana out since Animorte has been unexplainably missing since Jul 6th and it might be easier to do it at this juncture rather than the middle of whatever comes next? How do we want to do that? Part of the reason I set things up so the party were members of the Shieldbearers was to make it easier to swap people in or out as needed. It eliminates the need to justify why someone might leave or join the party. I can just say they were or weren't assigned to that particular mission. So if Animorte does not return by the time we start the next chapter, when the party will be given their first off-world mission, I'll just say that Livana was not assigned to that particular mission by Arayat. She was sent elsewhere or had some other assignment instead. Shouldn't be a problem.

Okay, that ends the first chapter.
Everyone reaches level 2. Let me know how you level up your characters, so I can adjust your stat blocks accordingly.
Chapter two will be your first off-world mission!
Also, looks like Animorte isn't returning, so I'll remove Livana from the party and add in Seeboe to replace her.

took 2nd lvl of fighter, I don't believe I have any choices to make just gain action surge. HP I'm taking the middle value 6, con mod 2, so 8hp gain total 20hp

With Seeboe leveling up to a lvl 2 Druid he has chosen Absorb Elements as his spell and chosen The Circle of dreams as his Druidic Circle. He is taking the middle value of HP which is 5 plus con modifier of +0 giving him 13 HP

level up: if I understand correctly Chispa can prepare one additional spell, and have one additional cast a day. So she will replace create water with detect magic and add Protection from Evil and good She also can use channel divinity 1/rest either to turn undead or to create stuff that worth up to 100gp and has metal in them. HP: uzjWGANA1d8+4 +3 from CON +1 from race.
1d8+4

Alright.
* Livana removed. * Vulpi leveled up. * Seeboe added. And leveled up, too, sure. * Chispa leveled up. * Zencho leveled up.
I think that's everyone but Ha-Yun now.
You can see your stat block in the Character Stats thread, if you want to double check and make sure I didn't forget anything or get anything wrong.

Vulpi longbow to hit should be +7 because of archery fighting style.
Also realized shouldn't Seeboe also know Quirapu since he's from Atagua

Good catch on both. Should be fixed now.
Also, if anyone wants to nominate another player for Inspiration, let me know. This can be for things like making the game more enjoyable in some way, having a clever idea that helps or saves the party, really great roleplaying, encouraging others to participate more, etc.

Sorry, I've been going through some stuff.
Anyway, I'll take the avg for Ha-Yun's HP (which I think is 5 with no modifier).
She gets an extra fist level spell (Tasha's Hideous Laughter) and spell slot, Jack of all Trades which allows her to add half of her proficiency bonus, rounded down, to any ability check that is made that doesn't already include the proficiency bonus, and Song of Rest which will help revitalize wounded allies during a short rest. If any friendly creatures who can hear the performance regain hit points at the end of the short rest by spending one or more Hit dice, each of those creatures regains an extra 1d6 HP.

Sounds good.
I think that's everyone then. So we'll start up chapter two tomorrow after I get off work.

These are my notes for the chapter:
Title and Theme This was just a little thing I threw together, as I wanted the titular Citadel to play more of a role in the game. As for the title, it was a reference to Mass Effect. Sorry, couldn't help myself.
The Radiant Citadel As I mentioned above, the module has 15 adventures but none of them actually take place on the Citadel. And it's such a fascinating place, in my mind, so I wanted to spend at least some time there. So I decided for each chapter spent planet-side, we'd spend one on the Citadel, as well. The Citadel chapters will mostly be party driven--they can go where they like and do what they want, but there will usually be one or two sidequests for them to complete, as well. In this case, the Suree Sangsorn case was the only official quest. Everything else was just whatever the party was interested in doing, such as visiting the Elemental Plate or Iron Bones Construction.
The Elemental Plate I had fun with the restaurant. With the exception of the flirty server and stoic bartender (ironically, the only two NPCs there that the party interacted with but never learned their names) had already been created, but everyone else (Gowon, Habin, Yasamin) were rolled up on the spot and fleshed out as we went. I've added all of them to the Places and People thread, if you ever want to look them up again. And they may appear later on now, as a result.
The Trial of Sangsorn I am no expert on law or criminal justice, so I apologize if any of the trial came off wonky. I was mostly making stuff up as I went. Anyway, it was possible for the trial to find Sangsorn guilty, if Ha-Yun did not stall enough, or if Vulpi had failed to find the crate, for instance. The stakes weren't high. Nobody would have died or anything. The party wouldn't have received their reward, and could not seek out Suree's services in the future, but that was it. Still, they were successful, so maybe Suree and their apprentices will pop up again some day.
Anyway, that's all I really have to say. I felt it was a good introductory chapter. Too bad about Livana, though. But I designed this game so that it will be very easy to swap people in and out as needed, so it shouldn't slow things down too much, hopefully.
If anyone has any questions, comments or feedback, feel free to let me know.
