Zencho barely took his eyes from the Aasimar. To Ha-Yun. "Well, it's part of their job, I guess. But back home, even for a job, usually I wasnt called such nice nicknames.'
---- To Vulpi he react by scratching his sideburns. "That sound like awful lot to look out for... if we need to deal with something it will find us. Eventually."

"I mean, we don't need to answer all those questions immediately. I figured though that by providing a long list, whoever got chatty might be more able identify ways to work in asking one of those questions without arousing suspicions. For example: if you're discussing imports and exports it would be natural to ask about smuggling operations for something you might want or feign to want, but not natural for you to ask about who everyone fears, contrarily if you're discussing dangers of living here then it would be natural to ask about who everyone fears but weird to ask about smugglers."

"The Shieldbearers usually work on other worlds though," Ha-Yun points out. "Since I've been here, I don't think I have heard of any of them being called to help people here, at least not while we were doing our training," she says thoughtfully. "And why would I ask anyone if they have good wood?" she asks curiously. "Are you wanting to make something out of wood?"

"Ask what you think is prudent, I just offered my suggestions. And as for the wood, I'm always carving something, it is my idling task." -Vulpi shows the carving of a tree they've been working on- "I figure there's likely some exotic wood somewhere in this market that would make a nice something. Maybe someday, when I've amassed a large enough collection I'll open a shop to get rid of some of it, but for now, I just carve for the sake of carving. Also, wood is a pretty innocuous topic, so asking about it could usefully obfuscate conversation if suspicions seem to be raised."

Chispa listens a bit to the chatter around the table. Her ears perk up a bit at the high price of the Jelli whine and her curiosity about it is triggered. To Vulpi she says, "Well.. you seems very organized. It would be helpful if you can write a list for us. I Wouldn't mind asking the Gnome at the bar about local troubles. I'm not sure Arayat meant us to dig out trouble, but maybe he will appreciate your thoroughness." Chispa then eats some of the food. "Hmm..." she rubs her full tummy. "Interesting! Here, try the buns." She offers the buns o the others, "It is buns to share, so if you won't eat, it might lose it's name." Again, her humor is not the best, but she wants to speak with Livana and therefore must, err... speak. "Usually I like simple food. Like potatoes and rusted boar, but they do make interesting mix of spices, and sauces." Without farther playing around she looks at Livana, "I heard you speaking about the Jelli-flowers quiet a bit. Crafting it m y thing. So why would you say it is so expensive? How much does the whine costs back at your home? What other things can you create from that? Do you weave magical material into it? Do you have other ingredient that can be used in tons of products?"

"Well, alright. I guess I can try to be a bit more nose pusher then my usual." Zencho shrug he eat, now more listening to the others, wanting to know what he is dealing with. Though, here and there he crane his head to look at the show.

Livana is quick to respond to Chispa's question, as the excitement is never far.
"Well, I actually don't have any experience with making them into anything, just helped to grow them. Mostly it's used for wine, but people also use it for clothing and dyes. It seems somebody finds a new use for it all the time. But like I said, it was cheaper back in Zinda."
She gets quieter toward the end, starts to remember some of the issues and still thinks the jeli fields could use better protection.

"Hmm... ahh..." Chispa still haven't heard anything special about the flower... There are many crops that are used for more than just food. Cloths, papers and other products are common. "What other uses might this flower has and may it be used to trigger some unfound reaction with the aurore diamond?" Chispa thinks to herself, forgetting the woman talking to her completely. "Aha? yea... Cheaper you say... It makes sense..." and she continues eating her attention drawn to the Gnome. "So, Vulpi, what is on the top of the list you want me to check with the Gnome? Something about political rivals? bad blood between citizens?" she cuts her Marshmallow desert in half, shove it full in her mouth mentioning the others they are welcome to the buns and other half of the Marshmallow and after hearing Vulpi's answer goes to speak to the Gnome greeting him in gnomish.

"Perhaps it would be good to know about how the locals feel about the Shieldbearers so that we can appropriately interpret other information provided to us if people learn or suspect our connections; but otherwise sure, knowing about political rivals would provide us with a good overview of the situation."

At this point the waitress returns with the main courses: Two earth plates, an air plate and a fire plate. "Okay, your desserts are almost ready, I'll go see about bringing them out next," she says.
However, Chispa has left the table and wandered over to the bar, where the gnome sits, and greets him in Gnomish. The copper-skinned gnome lifts his head and looks to her, bleary-eyed. He looks to be middle aged or so, with very short, black, tightly curled hair. His beard is frazzled and unkempt, and his brown eyes are puffy. He wears a wide-brimmed hat and is dressed in rough-spun clothing mixed with linen and even some silk. He sways a little in his seat as he blinks, trying to take in Chispa's form. "Eh? Who are you? Whatya want?" he asks in Gnomish with a heavy Djaynaian accent.

Ha-Yun makes an "O" with her mouth as Vulpi shows her the wood cravings. "Well, I can give it a shot I guess," she says. "After I eat," she adds with a grin before digging into the plate that she ordered. It wasn't exactly what she wanted, but it had a hefty dose of spice to it which was kind of nice.
Once she was finished, she stands and walks over to the bar, and hops up on a bar stool next to the dragonborn. "Food isn't to your liking, huh?" she asks curiously.

Ha-Yun notices there is a plate sitting in front of the dragonborn, half-eaten and it appears to be the same meal she ordered--the fire plate. He is a red dragonborn, his scales a beautiful crimson color that seem to shimmer in the light of the flickering fire of the kitchen entrance. He looked fairly young, perhaps around Ha-Yun's age. He is wearing an azure hanbok that looks fairly well made, suggesting some hint of wealth. His eyes are a bright yellow and his sharp teeth are pearly white. He is ranting to the bearfolk bartender, who stoically stands there not responding in any way other than the occasional low growl.
"You call this food spicy? It's false advertising, I say. By Mireu's Breath, I've eaten salted crackers with more zing," he complains in a Yeonido accent. "You've got some nerve calling this bland plate of tasteless mush a 'fire plate.' Now you want spicy, you should try my family's dakbul. That'll put hair on your chest." He looks to the rather hairy bearfolk, realizing his chest is already quite hairy, and shrugs and adds, "Well, you know what I mean."
When Ha-Yun speaks to him, he gives her a double-take, recognizing her as Yeonido. "Annyeong haseyo," he says in Halri with a slight bow of his head. "Can you believe the food they serve here?"

Ha-Yun bows her head slightly as she greets the dragonborn since he seems to be from her homeworld. "Yeah, I asked for some Tteokbokki, but they don't serve it here," she says with a frown. "But the Fire Plate was okay even though it wasn't as spicy as we are used to. Your family owns a dakbul place?" She asks.

"Even tteokbokki would be better than this slop," the dragonborn agrees. "I get that it's a 'family' restaurant and they're trying to appeal to as large a demographic as possible, but really, you can't have a 'fire plate' be this bland." He shakes his head in disgust. "And yeah, I'd say my family owns the dakbul place, and trade, as well. We export them to all over the place, including here in the Citadel."

Chispa hasn't realized the main course haven't arrived yet. She probably imagined the Marshmallow taste. "Hmmm... Nothing in particular. You seem tired. And miserable... and like the alcohol you consumed didn't do what you expected it to..." knowing Gnomes has a touch for creation she tries to keep him talking, maybe something good will happen out of it. "What happened?" ================================ (OOC: I was sure all the food already was served. Leave Chispa her dish! )
