"You said you don't know much about your husband's competitors... But what about the other end of the spectrum, who were his closest friends? The people he spent the most time with? Except you and the rest of his family obviously. And were there some places he frequented often? A tavern, a club, or something like that? Same for Trevor, if you know anything about his social circle." - Zamora then starts thinking about the legal aspects of the matter, and a question arises: "Did your husband have a will?"

"There was a gentleman's club my Edword liked to attend from time to time," Camille recalls. "The Smoke Lounge, I believe it's called. It's in the Ruler Sector. As for Trever, I didn't really keep tabs on his activities, but I do recall overhearing he liked to spend time at the Blue Nocturne, a high-class bordello also in the Ruler Sector."
She adds, in regard to the will, "Not that I'm aware of. We...we thought we had plenty of time before worrying about things like that."
Zemora knows that legally speaking, you can pretty much do whatever you want if you are rich enough. But that isn't the case here, so Camille's options are narrower. Because she provided no heirs and they were so freshly married, she doesn't have any reasonable claim to her husband's family's assets. However, that is assuming that he died naturally. If some kind of foul play was involved, particularly from the family themselves, she could conceivably bring a case against them. (Although whether she would be able to afford it is another issue entirely.)

"I think we have a few starting points," Ellasandra says to the others. "I suggest we start with the body", says Sylas in response.

“Might it be worth it to split up?” Nerisse suggests. “We could cover our initial investigations much quicker.”

"Why don't you join me in the office, Mrs Hennequin," Isabella offers. "I can jot down all of your information, while our detectives can start on your case right away." She escorts the young woman into the personal office to the side, closing the door behind them.
Once they are gone, Mal turns to the party. "Well, seems like we have more than enough leads to get started. You should all keep an eye out for additional work while you're gone anyway, as that five hundred gold will go fast once we get it. Can't hurt, anyway, but obviously the first priority is solving this case."

“Might it be worth it to split up?” Nerisse suggests. “We could cover our initial investigations much quicker.” In response to Nerissa's proposal, Sylas replied: "I think it could work. To recap, we currently have five leads to follow. The first lead is the morgue at the Temple of Blazing Passion, to inspect the body of the deceased. As a second lead, I recommend going to the guildhall to investigate possible competitors of the Hennequin family. The third lead is the Hennequin mansion so we can try to get permission to inspect the deceased's possessions; it's also a good way to gauge the family's reaction to the death of their first son and the inference of murder. The fourth lead is the Smoke Lounge, to learn more about the deceased's frequentations. The last lead is the Blue Nocturne brothel, to get a sense of Trevor's frequentations and character." After pausing for a while to think, he continues: "Extracting information with diplomacy has never been my forte. I would prefer to head to the Renos church, also considering my familiarity with toxins and poisons, but I could always cover for someone should we fear unfriendly encounters along the way. I would recommend that someone with direct medical experience accompany me to the church for the autopsy." He says, turning at Zemora and Nerissa, having grasped a bit of their ability in the field since he got to know them. He then concludes, saying: "What do the rest of you think and what do you want to do?"

Regret mewed and jumped away, then finally getting to Tukgruff's lap. "I am not very good with people either." He give a wierd glance at Regret. 'Dead people are easier for me deal with, or at least those who wouldnt look down on me... But- I would happy support anyone, if you think I can help." Tukgruff try hard to be agreeable

"Ot seems like we have the easiest access to the body," Ellansandra says. "But I'm not so sure we should spilit up. yes, we could cover more ground, but if we run onto any trouble, our forces are spilit."

“How do think the Temple, or the bordello, is going to to feel when we march up to their door with a small army and start asking suspicious questions?” Nerisse argues. “That feels like a good way to induce tight lips—or alert the real culprit that we’re onto them.”

Sylas watches the two women discuss the proposal. He has yet to get a good grasp of Ellasandra's personality and knows for a fact that Nerisse is a strong character, despite her love of jokes could lead one to think otherwise at a first impression.
Not knowing how the two colleagues work together or how their personalities mash, he tries to find common ground: "I propose that all five of us go inspect the body. After that, we can split up to cover the other four leads. I don't know where the Hennequin mansion is..." He turns to Camille, clearly conveying his request to make up for the missing information, and then continues.
"But all the other places of interest are in very... "safe" parts of the city, and I believe that's also the case with the mansion. I don't think it will be a problem to separate and cover more places. Still, inspecting the body together would allow us to leave the labor sector as a group and start the other investigations with some common information about the case. A dead body has a lot more stories to tell than one might initially think. What do you say, ladies?"
From his emphasis on the word safe, it's clear that he does not believe there are any potential risks, even in the downtown sectors. Probably some first-hand experience. At the same time, it's also clear that he agrees in principle with Nerisse's qualms. Large groups can attract unwanted attention in the central sectors. Especially so when composed of three drows and one duergar, however well disguised.

Can't hurt, anyway, but obviously the first priority is solving this case." " You're right. You and Isabella should try and convince her in giving us an additional percentage, in case we manage to prove that there was foul play from her husband's family, giving her a chance to claim their assets, or at least part of it." She then listens to the others discussing their options, but doesn't bother giving out her own opinion 'till the end. - " Seems like a good plan. I was intending on going to the temple anyway, it's a nice quiet place to study, but I never had the chance to visit the morgue. Should make for an interesting experience... I'll go get my sword, you never know in this damn city what will happen." - and having said she goes to her room to get ready.

Tukgruff sighed. "Just tell me where I can the most useful. I guess."

"I'll go with Zemora. If it was some untraceable poison, I'll figure it out much quicker than you," Nerisse says to her sister, a little stiffly. It was odd--a whole year on the surface together, and it still felt like talking to a stranger.

"I don't think four of us can make up a small army, no matter what type of weaponry we carry," Ellasandra says to Nerissa. "We are also in Renos territory, so they value the strong over the weak," she adds with a strong. "But Sylas' plan works for the time being." She wasn't an unreasonable person. "I can try my hand at the Hennequin mansion. It is probably best I try to avoid the more crowded areas anyway."
