I did once have this dream of putting together an in-person D&D group, and cooking a heroes' feast before each session for them. Maybe some day. I couldn't hack it as a Youtuber, though. Too thin-skinned to deal with the trolls.

That's debatable. It's just a little dream, though. In reality, having to cook a heroes' feast and run a session on the same day would probably be stressful and draining. But I don't know, maybe if I got used to it.

I've gathered the ingredients for the fifth Flavors of the Multiverse recipe. Fairly minimal this time around.

Some sort of bread?

It is, indeed, a kind of bread.

Tonight, I made the first of the Ravenloft recipes from my new D&D cookbook: Barovian Garlic Bread! "This buttery bread, served in both loaf and knot form, is ever-present in the taverns and inns dotting the misty (and eerie) Barovian countryside. While it's not uncommon for wayward travelers to get the cold shoulder from reclusive and suspicious denizens, inns such as the Blue Water will at least offer a warm basket of this local treat to well-mannered and paying patrons. It is important to note that although garlic is a flavorful and inspired touch, it is not indigenous to the region. You'll find this pungent bread pairs nicely with a main of medium-rare wolf steak and a glass of Wizard of Wines' Champagne du le Stomp or Red Dragon Crush, but avoid the Purple Grapemash No. 3 at all costs." "Garlic bread is my favorite food. I could honestly eat it for every meal. Or just eat it all the time without even stopping." I usually get garlic bread at the store whenever I make spaghetti, and just stick it in the oven. This is the first time I've ever made it from scratch, though. I had to use whole wheat, because that was all the store had, but honestly I prefer that anyway. This one was fairly easy, once I got the hang of it. It took me 90 minutes, but I could probably do it way faster now that I know how it works. I served it with spaghetti, as usual, and it was quite delicious. Although I wonder about the description. It says garlic is not native to Barovia. So...where does it come from? I assume they don't import it from other domains of dread..?

Usually it isnt a garlic bread, though I eñjoy garlic bread a lot.

Tonight, I made the first of the Sigil recipes from my new D&D cookbook: Sensate Palate Cleanser! "The appetite of the Society of Sensation knows no bounds: they are the ultimate explorers of experience, which takes them to the extremes of the palate. But the unfamiliar can only really be tasted against the baseline of the common. The Sensates lighted on the free cucumber soup that came with a cheap inn room at the Slumbering Lamb in Sigil as the perfect neutral reference points for embarking on a culinary adventure. Area taverns catering to this clientele turned this dish into a chilled leek-and-cucumber-based puree. Even for those without the restless curiosity of a Sensate, this smooth and mild soup is a refreshing appetizer no matter where it's consumed." This is basically a chilled soup, made from pureed cucumber and leak. It didn't take very long to make, although it did require four hours in the fridge to cool. It was pretty simple to make, too. I'll be honest. I didn't like it. I don't think I did anything wrong. I think I just don't really care for cucumber. And there's a lot of cucumber in there. Well, the Sensate faction in Planescape live for new experiences. And that's why I'm doing this. To try new foods. Which means...sometimes it doesn't work out. Sometimes I make something I don't enjoy. That stinks, because it's wasted money, but at least now I know, I suppose. But on the bright side, I usually do like the recipes, so it's a small risk, at least. Hopefully I have better luck next time.

It looks tasty, and I like the worldbuilding behind it. One day (May Allah will it) when I start running Al-Qadim I would try to give attention to food, and naturally focus on the middle eastren-north african kitchens.
It really gives a well... taste for the world.
And will happy to see your next work

Yeah, that's something I do in my own games. Try and research different cuisines depending on what the setting is based on, for when the party visits taverns and restaurants and such.
