Before clicking the link, I thought you were referring to kendragons there for a moment. Anyway, canonically speaking, there's just the five chromatics and five metallic types in Dragonlance, as that was all that existed when it was first written. However, there is at least one type of dragon beyond that that has shown up in canon; the shadow dragon. They are not native to Krynn, but one did arrive there from the Demiplane of Shadow. So it is possible. We also know of several alien dragons that arrived from another dimension in the Fifth Age. They were all chromatics, but it's not unthinkable one could be another type, like mercury, yellow, brown, or one of the gem types. So yeah, they would be rare and probably only show up in the Fifth Age, but it's possible.

The Squall probably doesn't have any mounted crossbows or ballistae or anything does it, lol.

None whatsoever, nope. Although that is something that can be added between adventures, if you want to sink the money into it.
Also, to clarify, the moth attack is not happening on the shore. It's pretty far inland; maybe 500 yards or so. It won't be possible to attack from the ship, not unless you beach it first. And even then, only Sumina with her bow and only at long range (-5 to hit). So if the party wants to help they'll have to disembark.

Lol, ok, well crap.
We can disembark in rowboats, I dont want to beach the ship and make it a sitting duck. Sha'al can swim it I guess
I'll edit my previous posts to reflect the new understanding

Maybe my brain is failing me.. but what is the range for Sleep spell? Maybe it would work on the worms?
And if not, can cantrip reach the range of the battle?

30 yards, so 90 ft

Tristen is correct. Sleep has a range of 90 feet. Cantrips have a range of 10 feet.
As for whether Sleep would work on them, that depends entirely on their Hit Dice. Any creature with more than 4+3 HD are immune. Or course, there's not really any way to know how many HD a monster has, outside of metagaming. So it's sort of gamble.

Looks like Dallion hasn't posted in 11 days and Matt hasn't posted in 19. So I'll probably have to NPC them. I'll resolve the round tomorrow, though.

New round will be resolved in about 24 hours, regardless of whether everyone has posted yet or not.

In what manner is the moth attacking the crew if it is out of range?
Depending, shall may throw a harpoon or make himself a target so he can stab with his trident

The moth is swooping down on its targets.

Hmm, well he is the only one to damage it so far, so sure.
