Drezden sits at the first empty table "Eh just a pint and maybe something to eat. You wouldn't happen to have a hearty steak would you?" he kindly asks the innkeeper.

Drezden, Eringard, Elvarian and Gribben (Teshford Arms Inn) "I'll see what I can do," the innkeeper says. She heads back to speak to the little girl for a bit more, then returns to the kitchen.
"How did the other stakeouts go? Did you find any of those creatures, either?" asks Gimak.
Maria Fireheart (Teshford Arms Inn) The innkeeper returns after taking the group's order, and shakes her head at Maria. "It's not that simple, dearie. In the old days, things were different. Under Morn...well, that was long before you were born. The Zhents run things now, and this is how they are. It's not something anyone can fight, nor should they--unless they want to lose their heads. I'm just trying to survive, that's all."
To her question about the party, she says, "Oh, they're outsiders, just arrived a couple of days ago. Heard they were looking into the dream fever. Lately, there's a sickness going around. People fall asleep and just never wake up again, and then eventually die. Some kind of magic, I'd reckon. Excuse me, I'll be right back." She heads into the kitchen.

Maria notices the red robed man but is canny enough not to react to him because she does not want to draw attention to herself. So she starts eating. Her curiousity is peeked when she hears about the sickness. She also hears Gribben talk about memorizing spells. She makes a mental note on that but keeps her ears open.

Drezden looks to Eringard and Elvarian "How'd your stakeout go by the farm? All me and Gimak saw at Eagles Eyrie were a patrol unit of Zhents, and that the path to Eagles Eyrie is blocked part way up by a chasm."

Drezden, Eringard, Elvarian and Gribben (Teshford Arms Inn) Gribben excuses himself and heads upstairs to his room. Gimak shrugs at this. "Guess he's not much for conversation, eh?"
The innkeeper returns with a plate of steak and a mug of ale. "That'll be six silvers," she says.
Maria Fireheart (Teshford Arms Inn) Maria notes that the man in red robes has abruptly left and is heading upstairs to the rooms. The others remain, discussing something about a place called Eagle's Eyrie.
The innkeeper returns with some food and drink, and brings them to one of the two dwarves (the one in studded leather).

Drezden smiles kindly at the innkeeper "Thank ya kindly. Here's a silver for your trouble." the dwarf pays the price and tips the innkeeper one silver, then eats his steak and drinks his pint savoring every bite of the steak. "Yah Gimak guess he ain't up for a chat tonight. Mmm this is good steak. You herd anything new about town Gimak?" in looking around the inn briefly while eating and chatting with Gimak the dwarf ranger notices the young girl "Hmm haven't seen the child around here before wonder who she is." Focusing back on the others that appear to be ignoring him or just deaf "So what did you two discover at the farm Eringard, Elvarian?"

"Me and Elvarian just saw some wolves" Eringard tells Drezden. "They were quite insistent about getting into the chicken coop, but left after a while. I guess that is normal behaviour for wolves, isn't it?" She watches on with interest as the dwarf pays the innkeper only a sixth of what she had asked for.

Drezden, Eringard, Elvarian and Gribben (Teshford Arms Inn) The innkeeper accepts the seven silvers and nods gratefully. She then heads back to the little girl.
"Haven't heard anything new, no," Gimak admits. He looks over at the girl Drezden mentioned. "No idea. Odd to see a child on her own, though. Thought she was a halfling at first glance."
(Drezden pays 7 silver pieces.)
Maria Fireheart (Teshford Arms Inn) After accepting the dwarf's pay, the innkeeper returns to Maria. "Anything else you need tonight, dearie?" she asks.
Maria notes the two dwarves take a brief interest in her presence, looking over at her, before returning to their conversation.

Maria is eating her stew when she notices the dwarves seem to pay her attention. She is not sure if she should get involved but she wracks her mind for any info or research that might give her an idea of what is plaguing the town.

Drezden finishes his steak and pint and relaxes in his chair a bit thinking about the encounter "Tell yah still thinking what we saw were wood woses if yah were a ranger or druid likely you'd of heard of em. Funny thing is I remember being told about em and taught about em but I've never seen of before tonight."

"What have you been taught, then?" Eringard asks.

Drezden, Eringard, and Elvarian (Teshford Arms Inn) "Yes, in all my travels, I've never seen anything like them before. They didn't look like real dwarves, at any rate. If you know more, it might help shed some light on what's going on. Like what was up with that strange net thing they had?" Gimak asks.
Maria Fireheart (Teshford Arms Inn) Maria thinks very carefully of all the things she learned from the Red Wizards, hoping to recall something that might be related to this new disease. She can't think of anything pertinent, until she overhears one of the dwarves mentions a strange net. This triggers something she remembers hearing once from her mother, during her lessons. What was it called? A net of...dreams? Yes, something about a net that could entrap a person's life energy, which sent them into a deep slumber. It was invented by a mage about a hundred years ago and was believed to be lost.

Drezden replies in kind telling what he remembers from his teachings "Wood woses are the elemental spirits of poisonous plants like mistletoe, hemlock, foxglove, and belladonna. Wooden weapons don't harm them, typically they aren't seen in towns or cities so I find that very strange to see em here usually they are only found deep in the forest or caves. They can use some druidic spells though which ones I haven't the faintest idea. I can assure you they are definitely not dwarves or even kin to a dwarf. Oh and their thorns and sap are poisonous so avoid their thorns and sap. They're evil creatures and are no friend to nature or those whom worship and protect nature. As a matter of a fact their great enemies to nature, creatures of nature and so forth. If I recall they eat the blood and bones of living creatures." pausing to let the others take in the information before he adds "I haven't the faintest idea what that net thing was they were using, or even what the heck the glowing wispy looking thing was either that they were somehow getting outta then people, but I know for sure they aren't nature and shouldn't even belong here in dagger dale."

Maria decides to approach the table, food in hand and her backpack over her shoulder.
"You said something about a net? There is a net called the Net of Dreams that entraps a person's life energy and causes them to go into a deep slumber."
