Finally got around to seeing the Barbie movie last night. It was pretty cute, and entertaining. Although that whole subplot about Mattel felt kind of superfluous, and I half suspect was insisted on by Mattel themselves.

I got around to watching Elemental last night, the newest Pixar film. I enjoyed it, but felt it wasn't quite up to par with Pixar's usual writing. It felt more like this story was put together to showcase their new animation and special effect techniques than anything else.

Elemental was.. cute? My wife really liked it. She said Wade is like me. Should I be insulted? Pff
But yeah. I think the "big danger" in the movie has distracted from what was supposed to be centered about relationships
but not bad.
But the strong element of the movie was how pretty it looked. But it's world building wasnt as well thought as for example.. Zootopia. Because there are many little things that dont make sense if you overthink it even for a moment. (As my brain tend to do) For d&d porpuses it can be fun to use as inspiration for elemental creatures

I finally got to see The Marvels last night. It was a lot of fun and had some rather impressive set pieces and fight scenes.

Are there "homework" required to watch it? Like the Ms. Marvel show?

I wouldn't say 'required.' Watching Captain Marvel, Wandavision and Ms. Marvel help in knowing who the main characters are and how they got their powers, but it's not necessary. The movie does a pretty good job of explaining everything. Knowing about The Snap is pretty useful, too, as that plays a big role in Monica's backstory.

I saw Damsel on Netflix the other day. I enjoyed it. An interesting twist on things, although the writer was a bit weak, particularly the dialogue, which tended to be overly expositional.

Keep in mind Spiderverse is a trilogy. Most Part IIs tend to end in cliffhangers in trilogies.
As for Wish, I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard it's not very good.

I'll probably check it out once I finish with X-Men '97.
