Do you know when you plan to start?
I haven't read the posted material, but I can at some point in the next few days.

I don't have an exact date yet. Probably in January, I'd guess.

Head's up to everyone: It seems that sometimes, if you are looking at the site through a mobile device, whispers will not show up for you, even if they are addressed toward you. I've now had two different players make this claim from different games. (First time it happened, I was willing to chalk it up to a glitch, but twice and now I'm thinking there's more to it.)
It's possible this is because I use an older version of the whisper command (the newer version did not work with the dice command, which is why I didn't update it).
I'll look into this, but for now, it's something to keep an eye out for.

A work-around for this might be to use a mobile browser that has a 'request desktop version' feature. I'm pretty sure it comes default on the Firefox browser for Android(Note:It'll throw the resolution off somewhat fierce, because it'll try to display as if the site was on a desktop monitor.)

Status update: December - 13.9 posts a day January - 17.4 posts a day February - 32.7 posts a day Site traffic has been on the rise, although population has remained pretty consistent. Past Glory really helped there.
I don't have any specific plans for the spring, except to continue encouraging other people to run their own games. I'm already juggling five and am not sure how many more I can add to that before I overextend myself. The only other game is Gravity's The Wrath of Darkeye, and it's current fate is in limbo. At this point, if something were to happen to me to prevent me from posting (lost internet, got really sick, etc.), the whole site would screech to a halt.
So if anyone is looking to start their own game, let me know.

How do we get a decimal of a post? I take it they are added then averaged out?

Exactly. I check how many posts were made that month, then divide the number by how many days were in that month.

Status update: March - 22.7 posts a day April - 18 posts a day May - 17 posts a day
So it looks like traffic has been on the decline the past few months, especially since February, but it's still at a decent level. I think the drop off is due to all the people who have up and left recently, like Ezeze, Snacs, Saskia and Xantin Rahl. But still, managing 17 posts a day (on average) isn't bad, taking the recent losses into account.
My main goal for the summer is to finish up the two modules (Accursed Tower and Lost Mines of Phandelver) and hopefully then replace them with new modules. I'm also hoping to re-stabilize the population and bring in some new people, but first there are some personal issues I need to deal with before I can worry about that.
I am back down to being the only one running games again. So once more, I put out the call that if anyone is interested in running a game, module or homebrew, let me know and I'll set you up.

I’ll probably try my hand with a module after Lost Mine finishes up. I think I can be a better GM when I’m not basically making everything up on the spot.

I'd try my hand at it but I don't think I'm really ready for it already running 4 games (on another forum) and even there things are slowed down.

Okay, so...I have good news. I've mentioned before a few times I've been having some 'personal issues' that have been preventing me from doing certain things, such as recruiting new people to the site. The truth is, for the past few months, I've been standing on the precipice of homelessness. I didn't want to say anything, as I had hoped I could find a way around it. I won't go into details here. But it is why I was so concerned about getting some new games started that weren't run by me. Because if worst came to worst...well, obviously I wouldn't have an internet connection while living in my car. And without me, all five of the current games would die out. There'd be no reason for anyone to stick around, and if and when I finally pulled myself out of that situation, there'd be nothing here waiting for me.
But I've managed, quite narrowly, to avoid that fate. So everything should be fine now.
Obviously, I didn't want to bring in any new people when there was a very real chance I'd be shutting this place down in a couple of months. But now that this isn't a concern, that means I can start re-recruiting for some of these games. Namely, Gontoria and Past Glory. Octhania, I feel, has enough people for now. And when Accursed Tower and Phandelver end, I'll recruit for whichever modules replace them (I feel both games are too close to ending to bring in new people now).
Hopefully soon, we can get some more activity in this place now. I might even considering starting up a sixth game, just to bring in more new people, although I'm not sure what yet. (Tronca and Crizzara are both still in pretty early development stages still.)

I'm sorry to hear about almost being homeless Daos. But certainly glad you have managed to avoid that. Not sure if it helps or not but I have had you site in the mentions of the podcast i am part of when we do the how to contact us bit. Hopefully that is alright by you.

Well, I can’t say I can relate, being underage and all, but I hope the situation improves. This site’s been quite a big part of my life for several years now, and I’m glad we can continue to play together here, hopefully for a while.

Happy to hear things are working out for you, Daos. I can relate, though my troubles were decades ago. Hope you never have a close shave like that again!
