"A good attitude to hold," the half-orc says. He opens up his pack and pulls out a cup of dice. "Shall we begin then? How about best two out of three?"
Meanwhile, Gribben finds a sling for sale for 5 copper pieces.

(OOC: Let's have Drezden make a gaming check to see how lucky he is.)

Elvarian responds. "We have permission to enter the ruins, and clear it and loot it. If you choose to join us you would be in for an equal share, and a roll on any 'special' items.

"Permission from who?" the woman asks. "And you didn't actually answer my question. Why are outsiders interested in the sleeping sickness? Couldn't you just leave the Dale whenever you want?"
The half-orc laughs boisterously. "Fair enough then!" Both of them roll the dice, but the half-orc's total is higher. "Tough luck. But you can still beat me. Let's try again."
(OOC: Yes, gaming is based on CHA, so it's basically a CHA check.)
Gribben is sold 24 sling bullets for 24 copper pieces. He returns to the tavern to find Elvarian speaking with a red haired woman and Drezden gaming with a half-orc.

Drezden readies his dice again and rolls. "Well that was only one so we got at least two more maybe three depends on lady luck." the dwarf rolls two more times and does a third if the half-orc agrees to it.

Dreden gives Gribben a sour look "I am this is how lady Tymora decides by luck and chance. If I win this fellow will join us if not I made a new friend for however long we are lucky to live for."

"Hmm...what an unusual turn of events," the half-orc says, comparing his own dice rolls to the dwarf's. It seems that we have a perfect tie then. Two against two. We'll need one more roll as a tie-breaker. Are you feeling lucky?" he asks with a jolly chuckle.

Drezden "Ah but do we truly need to roll a tie I'd say don't we both win the favor of luck? But aye if you want another roll truly it's us wanting it not needing it. That or we could just flip a coin." referring to a coin like it were the symbol of the goddess herself the dwarf give a sly little wink.

"With us was a Cleric of Lathander until she disappeared, so what started as a personal visit for her has turned personal for us as well. As for leaving, not until we find the ladies."

The half-orc laughs and slaps Drezden on the back. "I like the way you think!" He reaches into his pouch and pulls out a platinum coin. "Beauty, isn't it? My lucky charm, you might say." He sets it on the table before the dwarf. "Go ahead. See if luck is with you yet."
"A Dawnbringer, here in the town?" the woman asks, surprised. "I thought they had all left for good...after the fire. And she was taken, you say? That is...troubling," she admits.

"You believe she is still alive then?" the woman asks. "People have been disappearing lately...around the same time that the sickness started." She shakes her head. "This whole town has been suffering for years now, and things just keep getting worse. First the occupation, then the church burning down, and now this plague and rash of kidnappings. This town is in desperate need for hope of some kind..."

I knew you'd have a lucky coin. Tymora smiles upon you. It is a very nice looking lucky coin. Alright so we call it in the air let in land or flip it catching and cover it with my other hand then call it? How do you want to play it? Also it occurs to me I never asked your name friend? I'm Drezden but my friends can call me Drez." the dwarf picks up the coin admiring it then flips it. |ScfJp4|1d1001d100
