Ryan has 10 AC and 1 HP. At this point, Brakk-Ni could probably take him, even with his hands tied. I'd hope Ryan's not that short-sighted.

Katya isn't interested in helping look for the book.
But if I were going to hide something in that room I'd either hide it in the bed or under the rug.
Edit:
HorizonsDream - Did Ladonna just steal the spellbook out from under everyone's noses? Cold.

No one knows she is a mage, so she has to be crafty about how she gets her spells. Though, it is possible, however unlikely, that she included it in the books she gave to Jherek.

I am pretty done with standing in the bedroom and arguing.
Everyone who wanted to steal something has done so, yes?
Excellent. Let's continue.
Edit:
notARobot - if you included a whisper to me in your most recent IC post know that I cannot see it.

notARobot - if you included a whisper to me in your most recent IC post know that I cannot see it. Noted -- and yes, there was (supposed to be) a whisper there for you. I went ahead and changed it into plaintext, even though the BBCode for the whisper section looked right. *shrugs*

I should probably post this somewhere for easy access...the whisper command is very finicky. You have to do it just so, or it doesn't work. Things to keep in mind:
Don't include the '@' in a person's user name.
Only whisper to the person's user name, not their display name. You can see their user name by hovering your mouse icon over the display name. For instance, a whisper to me should be directed to 'admin' not 'Daos.'
Lowercase only. Again, a whisper to me should be toward 'admin.' Sending a whisper to 'Admin' or 'ADMIN' won't work.

It's hard to bully the goblin when every single thing that comes out of Ryan's mouth get's immediately overturned by the rest of the party. I cannot believe that we are going to walk out of here, with a magic using prisoner WITHOUT him identifying his spellbook for confiscation. Sheesh.

... Where the hell did I get Wolf Fang from? Noted. I cannot believe that we are going to walk out of here, with a magic using prisoner WITHOUT him identifying his spellbook for confiscation. Sheesh. IC it's not a priority. OOC Ladonna already grabbed it.

I cannot believe that we are going to walk out of here, with a magic using prisoner WITHOUT him identifying his spellbook for confiscation. Sheesh. Look, I appreciate your point about the dangers of escorting a spellcasting prisoner...I think I touched on that myself in Theron's argument for slaying Brakk-Ni. Having said that -- the goblin chieftain is just not in a state conducive to being bullied, and Ryan is in a very poor state to be trying to bully anyone (as Daos pointed out a few days ago). Did you read this part? I don't know if you expected him to give up and immediately tell you everything or what, but he clearly doesn't care about your threat to burn down the room. He's mocking you. Other members of the party "overturning" Ryan's idea doesn't enter into it -- the threat is just flat-out failing to be effective. I don't think there's any possibility of Ryan extracting useful information from Brak-Ni, regardless of what the rest of us do. Maybe torture would work, but Ryan's eagerness to torture goblins sort of got us into this in the first place, and I'll bet he'd suffer a pretty big social cost in terms of how the rest of the party reacted... OOC Ladonna already grabbed it. Well...Ladonna thinks she grabbed it (ok, ok, Ladonna probably grabbed it. The odds of some other book aside from Brak-Ni's spellbook radiating magic are probably pretty slim.)

I had also thought of this, and to take that a few steps further - You know who would probably be able to get information out of Brakk-Ni? Ubisek. What would probably endear the party to Ubisek? Showing up with his tracker, alive and unharmed, who reported that they have treated Brakk-Ni with respect.

I'm kind of curious what useful information the party believes Brakk-Ni has that could be tortured out of him. I mean, aside from the location of his spellbook.

I'm pretty sure it's just the location of the spellbook, and just Ryan who's dead-set on uncovering it. Seems like everyone else is ready to move on.

Katya is very interested to hear about how far the negotiations with the ogres have progressed.

Yeah, he is not being very cooperative, even giving his current situation/status. Ryan is a bit head strong, he would be tempted to just execute him on the spot for his attitude. The fire was a threat, thinking he would be worried about his book. The key point was that he cannot have it. No book, no components, no hands, no spells.
