"What did you say, Katya?" Ladonna asks as she looks over at the surprised faces.

"I said I wanted to talk" Katya gives Ladonna a summary. It's obvious that is not all that was said, if only for how long she'd been speaking goblin. She doesn't offer more explanation, though, since the goblins are talking and she responds to them. She nods in agreement and answers in the affirmative, as anyone who has been exposed to goblin for any length of time can parse. "Yes, you will live free. We are not here to change that. We do not want to enslave goblins. We are here because the temple" she speaks more, then gestures at the stone temple behind them "Was made by Villkru. Villkru who prayed to the Bird in secret, and were murdered by other Villkru for it. Now the people in the town are sick, and we think something in the temple can help." While she is talking Katya glances sideways at Nak'Skree. Katya cannot speak as freely as she'd like while Nak'Skree can hear. She doesn't trust her with her secret. Plus Garnet would hear.
So she keeps talking "we would like to go inside the temple. Not to hurt you, and not to hurt it. This does not have to be a fight. Followers of The Wolf would fight. Followers of the Bird are free not to."

In response to Katya, a third goblin--a male with a crescent scar on his cheek--speaks while gesturing emphatically.
"So you want to use the temple to help the villkru who killed the faithful that once worshiped here? Sounds like they deserve their fate to me. This is the Crow's punishment for their sins."

Ladonna simply watches the exchange since she doesn't have a clue as to what is being said.

Katya actually pauses for a moment. It might look like she's considering her answer. She does answer, though. "No. This disease is not targeting the ones who killed Crizza's worshipers. It's killing everyone, even many people who never knew this place existed. Even the children of Crizza's worshipers who were spared only because they were young. The people who built this temple would have wanted what they have stored here to help. I am sure of it."

"What? They would?" Garnet asks, surprised by whatever Katya just said. This draws attention from the goblins, and she quickly clasps her hands over her mouth and makes a mouse-like squeak.
Whatever Katya said to them, it seems to cause the goblins to start arguing with one another. The argument grows louder and more passionate, with each goblin trying to yell over the others.
"The children were the ones who betrayed the faithful in the first place--!"
"Maybe we should let Ghalt handle this--?"
"Ghalt said to keep outsiders away--!"
"Ghalt's not the boss of me--!"
"We should stick to the plan--!"
"There's more of us than there are of them, I say--!"
"Let's roll a die! One through three means we let them in and four through six means we kill--!"
Nak'skree shakes her head. "They are completely uncoordinated..."

"I still don't know what is going on," Ladonna admits. She doesn't like not knowing what is going on, but she is half tempted to drop a sleep spell on this goblins and call it a day.

"Some of them want to let us in. Some of them still want to kill us. Some of them want to ask 'Ghalt', some of them are angry that anyone suggested asking Ghalt." Katya tells Ladonna. "That one" she points out the offender "suggested rolling dice, since they were gambling anyway." "Even if we can speak to 'Ghalt' and convince him, no doubt some of these 'Rabid' would deliberately do the opposite of whatever he said." She switches back to Goblin and speaks while she walks forward. "Personally" she says, trying to keep her posture non-threatening while she walks towards the goblins. "I like the dice idea. These aren't weighted, right?" Unless someone tries to put a blade in her (which she hopes they won't, banking on the confusion between them. She deliberately picks up two dice. She says a few more words "How about... even numbers, you let us visit the temple. Odd numbers, you take me prisoner?"

The goblins allow Katya to approach, more out of curiosity than anything else, although they keep their bows firmly pointed at her. When she rolls the dice, and they both come up sixes, the goblins seem in awe and start talking among each other.
"Two sixes! Do you see that?"
"What does it mean? Is she blessed by the Great Crow?"
"No, it just means she's lucky!"
"Isn't that the same thing?"
"Hmm...that's a good point."
"What do we do now? Should we take her to see Ghalt?"
"Ghalt said to kill intruders."
"But if she's sent by the Great Crow, doesn't that mean she could help Ghalt?"
"Alright, human. We'll take you and your group to see Ghalt."
"But! You have to turn over your weapons first."
"Oh, yeah, and the Woodfang stays behind!"
Nak'skree speaks up, in Tardish. "My lord only bid me to take you here, so technically my job is done. But...do you think taking their offer is wise?" she asks, crossing her arms. "The Rabid cannot be trusted. They could be leading you into a trap."

"They have offered to take us inside if we leave our weapons behind" Katya tells the others, since Nak'Skree and Garnet are the only other goblin-speakers. "They won't take Nak'Skree, though."
"This is the best we can hope for if we don't want to cut a bloody swath to the temple" Katya says. Her tone indicates that she doesn't think the latter is actually an option.

"Okay, while I would agree to that," Ladonna says. "What about when we get inside the temple?" she asks. "We don't know what might be lying in wait for us? We don't even know how far the goblins have explored it. We kind of need our weapons."

Katya inclines her head towards Ladonna and attempts to translate her argument "The Woodfang has agreed to leave, but my friends are worried that things other than goblins, things that will not obey you, will still lurk in the forest or the temple. We'd like to keep our weapons. Will you take us to Ghalt anyway? I'd like to meet him, if we are meant to help him."

"Give up our weapons? A-All of them?" Garnet asks, squeezing her hammer to her chest as if it were her favorite childhood blanket. "To Crizzites? Won't they just...k-kill us all once we're h-helpless?"
"This seems...an unwise decision," Ingot adds. "We have no reason...to trust them. But plenty of reason...to distrust them."
"Yeah, I get the idea that you guys have made friends with the Woodfang, but not all goblins are like them. Is this a good idea?" Liala asks.
Whatever it is that Katya says to the goblins, one of them responds to her.
"We know the safe way to Ghalt," she says. "The path that won't cross any other monsters. Otherwise, yeah, it's a total death trap in there."

"They, um, confirmed there are lots of other monsters in the temple that they don't control" Katya admits. "So, good call Ladonna." She slips back into speaking goblin. "We'll keep our weapons. It's too dangerous be without them, but we will see this 'Ghalt', so we can find out what he needs. Show us the way?" When she's done talking Katya gestures for the goblins to lead the way towards the temple.

The goblins don't seem to like what Katya says, and they argue with her.
"If we take you to Ghalt, we take the safe way," the goblin clarifies. "There are no monsters on the safe way, so you will give up your weapons. We will not take you to Ghalt with them."
