Drezden speaks up adding to the conversation or at least trying to "At any rate the answer is not much different from normal folk we don't all get married some more than once others less. I heard there are human tribes that do similar to Krahs folk. I believe even some other races do similar think them Drow do something like that as well."

Beatrid returns at that point with their orders. For Drezden, she brings a bowl of fish stew and a hot cider for seven coppers. For Jaxle, she brings a bowl of stew, an ale and the key to Room 1 for eight coppers and one gold. For Dallion, she brings a bowl of stew, a hot cider and the key to Room 2 for seven coppers and one gold. For Malavar, she brings a bowl of stew, a hot cider, and the key to room 3 for seven coppers and one gold. She also brings food and drink to Dell, Rafferty, Taska and Krah.
When she sets Dell's food down before him, she says in a stage whisper with a wink, "Couldn't help but overhear, but yes, with the exception of myself, all of the young ladies working here are unmarried. Best of luck to you!" Dell turns beet red and says nothing, instead staring down at his stew intently.
"Well, if you all need anything else, just give a holler to me or one of the girls," Beatrid tells them before walking off.

Drezden waves a hand to halt Beatrid before she walks off "Guess I'll take a common room if I could get one Beatrid, thank ya kindly." the dwarf gives her a kind smile and starts eating his stew.

Dallion takes the stew and cider with a smile as he hands over the coin. "Thank you miss, this stew smells wonderful." looks back at the others returning to the discussion at hand and then smiles a light smile at Dell. "She is right we might be a little over the top but just remember adventuring is a dangerous lifestyle, it can be rewarding but would you really want a loved one staying at home worrying about you everytime you left for weeks, months even years at a time?" picks up his spoon and takes a spoonful of the stew into his mouth and nods slightly at how much better this was then trail rations.

"If that's what concerns you, Dallion, why not find yourself someone who'll travel with you?" Malavar chuckles. "It seems a needlessly joyless existence to deny oneself companionship just because you've chosen a risky lifestyle."
"As for you Dell, the lady of the house just told you that none of these fair maids are spoken for. Which one has caught your eye and why aren't you talking to her already?"

Beatrid accepts Drezden's five silver for the common room.
Dell, still bright red, starts spooning his stew in his mouth and between bites says, "W-Well, my food just got here. Don't want it to get cold..."
Taska laughs at that. She looks to the others. "What about the rest of you? Anyone else here in the market for a wife? Maybe some competition will get Dell off his butt," she teases.

Jaxle- Beatrid is rather beautiful, but I am not in the market for wife. He drinks his Ale then shake his mug towards Beatrid. May I get another miss? Winking at the girl.

Drezden finishes his stew and chuckles at Taska's remark "What about you Taska looking for a husband eh?" he jests.

"A wife? Here? I think not," Malavar laughs. "If I marry, it will be a matter of money, power, and familial obligation. A serving maid from the frozen north won't do, I'm afraid. Not even when they're as pretty and personable as the ones here," he says, winking at Dell.

Beatrid brings Jaxle a second ale for three more copper pieces. "Nope, as I said before, this captain sails solo," Taska answers. "No way I'd want to be tied down to one person for the rest of my life. There are so many fish in the sea, why limit yourself to just the one?"
Taska thinks a moment and then adds, "Well, now that you bring it up, I suppose I might marry for money or power. A lot of it. But I hope my would-be spouse doesn't expect any loyalty from me out of it." She chuckles.

"Alas, Captain, I'm afraid that if all you're bringing to the wedding is your stunning looks and charming personality, then any gentleman of means and status that would take you to wife will likely want all of that for himself. After all, he'll have given up the chance to improve or safeguard his position through a political marriage just to be with you. And it wouldn't do for his peers to then see him cuckolded... So if I were you, I'd steer clear of any such marriage until you're at least the equal of the gentleman in question when it comes to wealth and power," Malavar responds with a slight smile.

Drezden after finishing his stew and his drink continues the conversation with Taska "Well if you ever wish to sail with us after this you're more than welcome by me Taska."

Taska just shrugs. "All the more reason to avoid marriage. I can acquire wealth and power on my own. And I will. One day I'll command an entire fleet. 'Admiral Taska' has a nice ring to it."
To Drezden, she says, "Sure, maybe. I try not to plan too far ahead."
After the party finishes their meals and drinks, Rafferty retires for the night and insists Dell does, as well. The boy is reluctant, as he wants to spend more time with the party, as well as talking to the barmaids. But ultimately, he retires to the common room with his uncle.
Shortly after that, Peddywinkle returns from his 'other business.' "Ah, I trust you all feel better having a warm meal in your bellies?" he asks politely.

Dallion chuckles at Dell's question "I seek no wife, I am devoted to my duties to the elven nation and I am always away from home. I would not dear put a woman thru that kind of life." listens to the answers of the others. "It does seem wealth and power are indeed the reason alot of people marry and there seems to be little faithfulness. I for one rather just be alone at that point."
After the boy leaves Dallion shakes his head as if he was hiding a laugh. "that boy might lead us to some trouble...the young tend to do that at least." Looks at his employer and nods his head in agreement. "Sir, whats the next agenda for this trip?"
