Again, Peddywinkle takes a few moments to calculate, then says, "Fine, fine. But anything relating to the salve or the diary go to me, regardless."
After making the deal, he says, "I await your return eagerly. Oh, and I do have one last bit of advice for you. When Damien made the Dale his home, he was most unwelcome. This was a savage land and the locals were unused to magic. Some thought him a demon and he was seldom able to leave his tower through conventional means. So you would do well to take the local folklore about Damien with a grain of salt. It is possible that the tales will be less than kind. A nearby halfling scrimshaw carver might be able to help you get started. He buys his knucklehead from an ancient barbarian who lives in the wilds. He has said this barbarian might remember the old tales that could tell you where Damien's tower once stood. The carver lives in Lonelywood, and his name is Regis."

Drezden smiles at the mention of the halflings name "So the tales are true. Regis does still reside here. I've heard of his scrimshaw carvings, I'd like to purchase one from him while we speak with him."

"It's agreed then," Malavar replies. "Are we in any kind of hurry to find and explore this tower? And are there any competing interests we should be aware of?"

Drezden "We might need some gear for climbing around on ice. I'd suggest we go see about getting some more rope, crampons and maybe warmer cloaks."

"Then we should also see about selling off the things we recovered from the goblins. That should add some gold to spend for common purposes."

Drezden remarks "Regis might be able to tell us if that skrimshaw we found is worth anything too."

"I've told no one else of this, so you shouldn't have to worry about anyone else beating you to it," Peddywinkle answers. "And I won't impose a time limit on you, but obviously the sooner your complete your mission, the sooner you get paid."

Dallion nods at the man's words before turning to the others. "Maybe we should unload some of the stuff we have collected on the way and get some supplies, maybe some back up potions."

Jaxle- Hearing all of his companions. Not to miss out on some good treasure I am interested in this expedition. Selling the items we recovered sounds good. In what direction is the Lonelywood.

Drezden merely looks for a shop with crampons so that walking on ice he will have better footing.

"I can show you," Peddywinkle says. He pulls out a map and furls it out on the table. "Here are the Ten Towns of Icewind Dale. Here is Targos, on the south shore of Maer Dualdon," he says, pointing to the bottom of the lake on the upper left of the map. As you can see, Lonelywood is on the east side of the same lake. So you can either secure a boat to take you there, or just ride along the coast, past Termalaine, to get there."

Dallion heads out to find some winter survival gear he is not use to such a cold place...maybe a heavy cloak.

The party goes and does some shopping before the stores all close for the night, then reunite back at the inn when they are finished. "So, we set out in the morning?" asks Taska. "Should we charter a boat across the lake, or save some money and walk?"

Drezden "Yes that'd be my plan head out in the morning and save the coin the walk would do us good."

"I agree leaving in the mourning would be best and avoiding the lake even better. I for one would hate to be on a boat if a winter storm hits"
