"I'm not sure what you mean," Joy admits as they climb the stairs to the second, and then the third floor. "All of my family's rooms are on the third floor, as well."

"What is on the second floor, then, my lady?" Ladonna asks.

"Oh, all sorts of things," Joy responds. "Most of the council have rooms there, like the castellan, the steward, and such. There are some storage rooms. Oh, and there's the Hall of Justice. That's where Father delivers verdicts and holds audiences." Once they reach the third floor, she leads them through a door, into another hallway, and through another door after that. They find themselves in what appear to be a small, personal chapel with a small altar and a pair of small pews. Each wall is decorated with a mural depicting some important part of Gonto's history. "Through here," she explains, leading to the door directly across from the one they entered.

Ladonna's mouth drops open a little bit as they walk through the personal chapel. "They have their own personal chapel," she comments softly in a little bit of awe. Of course, she is kind of getting lost going through all of these doors just to get to Helen's quarters.

Lillian takes a moment to study the murals as they move past them.

The first mural seems to depict Gonto herself, in the form of a giant, cosmic mole, forging the earth and creating the moons with her eyes.
The second mural shows Gonto overlooking a pair of humans. One is a man, dressed as a knight, holding up his sword. The other is a woman, dressed as a noble (including a crown on her head), holding up a scepter. The sword and the scepter are crossed together.
The third mural shows another human, this one also dressed as a knight, but riding on the back of a magnificent gold steed that seems to glow with divine light. He seems to be slaying a massive green dragon while Gonto looks on from above.
The fourth mural shows yet another human knight. This one is kneeling in reverence as a glowing mace descends from the heavens toward his outstretched hands. Gonto is once again, taking up the sky with her visage. It looks like the goddess is gifting the mace to the knight.

Ladonna also glances over the murals before she stops at the fourth. "I don't recognize this one," she says thoughtfully.

“Who’s the Knight?” Lillian asks.

"Oh, that's the founder of House Solan, Ethelred Solan," Joy explains. "The mural depicts his making a pact with Gonto, becoming her champion, and receiving the holy mace, Evangel. Every Count or Countess since then has inherited the weapon and made a similar pact. Father holds it now."

"So does that mean that the current Count also has a pact with Gonto, my lady?" Ladonna asks as she turns away from the painting.

Joy nods. "He did. And so will I, some day, I suppose." Joy leads them through another door, down a hallway, down another hallway and finally into a bedroom. It is around 30x20 feet in size, with a single bed, wash basin, and wardrobe closet. "This is where you will be staying, Lady Escott. The sewing room is right across the hall, if you have any interest in such things."
"Thank you, my lady," Helen says, entering to look around.

"Is that mace simply an heirloom, or have you been taught how to actually use it, my lady?" Ladonna asks Joy as she takes a look inside Helen's room.

"Oh, me? No, I can barely lift it," Joy admits. "But father wields it in battle. In any case, I'll let you get settled in. We've sent a servant to prepare the other empty room on the second floor for you. She'll come and get you when it's ready. And if you need me for anything, just come find me."

"Thank you, my lady," Ladonna says politely to Joy. She then turns to Helen. "How do you like your room, my lady?" she asks.
