Zakkoth uses the power of the heart to heal Caelin a little more. The rogue is not at full health again, but he at least can move around without too much pain now.
Conard and Brina sit together at a small table in the corner of the bedroom, speaking in low tones. Perceval leans on the wall by the door, looking as tired and ragged as anyone else, but doing his best to try and hide it.
============
Zakkoth spends 2 mysticism points to cast Cure Wounds on Caelin, restoring (1d8+2): 6+2 = 8 HP.

"Ah," Eliana says, looking down at her arms. "It is a recent development," she says shyly. She is clearly insecure about the scales. "Scales aren't a normal thing."

"I would so imagine." Zakkoth said dryly. "...So I guess your arcane powers aren't coming from studies?"

Caelin Valaerys, pariah of TarkhisisHP: 13 of 18 | AC: 15 | Perception: 15 | Insight: 17 | Inspiration: 0 Conditions: None.Caelin looked towards the door, knowing full well that Conard seethed, somewhat, at being denied the honor of his duel with Cyanwrath. He sighed, knowing he owed the Knight an explanation. Even as he sighed, he felt the tightness of the binding around his abdomen, however, the flow of draconic energy, of warmth, and life, that flowed from the draconian's hands had renewed him, numbed his pain. A cough, "I, I think I owe you all an apology." An odd looked flashed across his face, "Garald, Iro, we lost two of our company last night." A cough that might have been a laugh, "As much as I teased Ser Knight, I ..," he turned to regard the young man, " I feel as though he is the best of us. It wasn't too long ago that I'd have let him accept Cyanwrath's duel, slit the throat of the captives to deprive them of that advantage and then used the duel as a distraction to try to assassinate Mondath." He looked ashamed, "Because that's what she does, she scoops out everything that is good in you, cuts it out, burns it out, until nothing remains." A haunting look, "I know, because ...," his voice trailed off. "I'm sorry I deprived you of your duel Conard, but I thought you were going to die. And ...," he pointed to his companions, "and I thought you could keep them alive better than I ever could." Another cough, chuckle, "I didn't think I would win, I thought I would die, I. Wanted ... to die."

"You very nearly got your wish," Perceval points out. "But there are worse things than death. You realize, it was very possible Mondath might have dragged your unconscious body back with her, to wherever they are going. No telling what torture you would have faced then."
"I'm certain I could have defeated the dragonspawn," Conard insists, standing up. "But what is done is done, and cannot be undone. I will earn back my honor another way."

"No, I did study," Eliana says to Zakkoth. "My father is a rather accomplished mage, so I spent years studying under him," she explains before she looks to Caelin. "Why would you want to die?" She asks.

Zakkoth smirk. "Wishing to die? ...I has been there once. But you weren't a priest... devoted heard and soul to a god. What possibly could be so preciouse that you have lost would worthy of such a wish? What? Few whips on the back? Seeing people die faster then flies in well ran stables? Those are mundane things." He wave it off. "There must be something deeper then that."

"I just wonder what tomorrow will bring," Brina muses sadly. "I hope my kids are alright, wherever they are."

"I'm sure your children are fine," Eliana says to Brina. "They were raised by you, so I'm sure they learned a thing or two that will help them along."

Zakkoth shut up, sit down and medidate, before going to sleep, but pause. 'We should take watches'
