Imrich gives the priestess a thin smile in return. "Captain, I thought you said you had hired a healer, not a panhandler. What are you paying her again? A gold piece a day was it? Well, since I diverted you from what was surely some other hugely important activity for a few hours by being so selfish as to allow a bunch of slavers operating in your fine city to shoot and stab me, I must surely take that into account when deciding on the size of my donation." Reaching into his belt pouch, Imrich draws forth a gold coin and flips it to the priestess. "There you go. A full day's pay for a few hours' work. More than generous, don't you think?" he quips with obvious sarcasm.

The cleric catches the coin, inspects it (even bites into it to ensure it is real gold), then pockets it and offers her own thin smile in response. "The Divine Trinity Church of Octhanus thanks you for your generous donation," she says sweetly.
Liko clears his throat, perhaps to break the tension, and says, "So...Captain Kalana Ioane, Kohen Jaeron, and Senllip," he says, nodding to each. Then he looks to the genasi. "Never got your name."

Imrich donates 1 GP.

"That's Imrich," Kalana says. It seems like the priestess can handle herself with Imrich, so she decides nit to say anything about the exchange. "You are right that we are heading to Tu'valie. While there isn't much left from the attack, there are probably a lot of people that need help. Plus, we are hoping to find out crew mates, as we were caught up on that same attack."

"Red Hawks, Red Hawks!" comes a chant as four men approach the ship and walk up the gangplank. The party recognizes them, of course, even if they hadn't been chanting their own name for some reason.
"Let's get this party cruise started!" cries one.
"Where's the rum at?" asks another.
"And the women?" asks a third.

"There are only three women,"Kalana says. "And enough liquor for the whole crew down below."

"Four, by my count," says the leader, swaggering up to Kalana and putting an arm around her shoulders. "One for each of us! Sorry, lads," he says to Jaeron, Senllip and Imrich.
Bayla squawks in annoyance, then flaps up to the crow's nest to avoid the men. Mirinda steps behind Liko. The cleric just clears her throat, then turns to Kalana. "Uh, captain, do these 'gentlemen' have permission to be aboard? Or should I have them removed?" One of the Hawks swaggers up to her, but she gives him a look that makes him think twice, so he sanders off to pretend to inspect the rest of the deck.

"I believe they are paying passengers, are they not, Captain?" Imrich replies blithely.

Jaeron rolls his eyes and sighs "I'll let you deal with them Captain." he walks off and waves to Bayla in the crows nest. The gnome finds his own quiet place on the ship and leaves the Red Hawks to their rowdy natures.

"They are paying passengers," Kalana says as she casually moves out from under the leader's arm. "Sorry boys, the only women are apart of the crew, which means you need to stay away. When I'm not managing my ship, then I'll keep you company, but until then you are on your own."

"Ah, well, maybe the ladies will change their minds once we're out to sea," the leader says. "Come on, lads. There's rum to be had!" The four descend into the hold, chanting "Red Hawks, Red Hawks!"
The cleric shakes her head. "Is that everyone, captain? If so, should we get under way?"

"Yes, I do believe that is everyone," Kalana says. "So let's get this ship sailing. Everyone has a task to do, so get to it."

Senllip, happy to be of use, quickly help preparing the ship to sail. Just before they untie the rope from the harbor he takes his stand at the wheel and asks Kalana with a smile, "I guess now its the exact time for the rum blessing!"

Kalana calls out orders, and everyone goes to work. The sails are opened, the anchor is raised, and the ship leaves port. They were only in the city about nine days, but it somehow felt much longer than that. They watch it grow smaller and then disappear as the ship gets further out to sea.
The first day, Dymin 7th, there is a strong wind blowing to the west, while the ship moves south. A pod of dolphins is spotted following the ship that morning, considered a good omen by many sailors. By the afternoon, they dolphins have moved on.
The second day, Dymin 8th, the wind weakens a bit, so the ship loses a little speed. Nothing much happens, until that evening. A cargo ship crosses paths with the Blue Moon, named the Goldmeasure. Once the two ships are close enough, the Goldmeasure signals the Blue Moon with some flags, asking permission to board and possibly do some business. They await the party's response to this request.

Kalana looks out to the cargo ship, but before she signals the ok, she seeks out Bayla. "Hey, do you know anything about this ship?" She asks. "I want to make sure it is safe to allow them on board."

"Not this one, personally," Bayla answers. "But it's not uncommon for merchant ships to offer to do business with passing vessels. It's probably a bigger risk for them than it is for us." She adds, "That said, they aren't flying Guild colors. That doesn't mean they can't be trusted, but it could be a red flag of sorts."
