Bugbear Leader looks at Roshek and growls "We're not goblins. If you want in there then you are bout as smart as goblins. You come with us as slaves and live longer. Unless you have something to offer us. We like shiny things and weapons. You got stuff to give us we help you get in there."

Daos looks surprised by their reaction to Roshek's words. "Wait, do you speak the Common tongue? And sorry, we have nothing shiny to give you. But there maybe shiny things inside we could collect for you, if we were inside..."

Bugbear Leader shakes his head "Me not speak common tongue but Goblin translates in all languages we know. We can get you in if you promise to give shiny things or weapons you find to us. We wait here away from them cloaked ones." (ooc: treating the word Goblin as like a name there is no language translation it sounds the same no matter what language spoken in  )

"I'm not paying to pass along this road, bugbear," Roshek says. "But the offer stands - you help us get in the moathouse and we'll share some of the shinies we find in there with you. It's a good deal - you risk nothing and get something if we make it back. Fight us here and now and you'll end up dead with nothing to show for it."

OOC: I'm aware, Roshek just isn't acknowledging that. In any case, for all practical purposes they are preventing us from continuing down the road on pain of being enslaved or killed if we don't bribe them.
