(I don't think any of The PCs called him that recently, just refered to him that way in ooc)
As the valuables (the enemy armor, liquor, jewelry, etc) and other goods are collected and a suitable search of the room is under way, Tristen leads the man to the door, where he motions silently for some others to stand ready with him should anything untoward begin. He prepares a gag, but does not apply it yet Any hidden weapons in this room? Any short-cuts outside from here that can not be obstructed by controls elsewhere? he asks.
Tristen will also do a quick search as an elf for any secret or concealed doors.
Once done, if nothing found or no short cuts reveled, he will arm himself with the magival sword and prepare to gag the leader should he do other than as instructed. Call out to your people in the hall. Tell them to lay down their arms and armor at the door. It is in your best interest to sufficiently motivate them to comply. His final words are spoken softly like the whisk of a blade on a whetstone. To inspire compliance, he lies the flat of his magically sharp blade near the man's bare neck

Lareth shakes his head "I have no other hidden treasures in this place. Yes there is another way out." he indicates the northern wall "The stone about 3 feet up the wall on the right side opens a door that leads to a secret passage and brings you out further up near the bugbears you probably met already."

Tristen nods and asks one of the rogues to search the indicated area for traps.

Hekras moves over to the indicated spot and checks it. He doesn't find anything trap wise.

Roshek helps divide up the treasure, armour and weapons, then heads over to the indicated stone and presses it.
"So, is the plan to sneak out the back or are we going to try and deal with the guards as well?"

"Let us not forget there are bugbears waiting outside for us," Daos reminds them. "And there is also those two merchants we rescued waiting for us."

"Hmm. Could we go out the back exit and double back?" Narya suggests.

Tristen nods at Daos' comment. We must be careful. Perhaps someone stealthy should double back to retrieve the merchants.

"If he's telling the truth, then we should be fine using the secret passage. It's only a short way from where the bugbears were lairing to where the merchants are waiting for us - no need to double back. Of course, this one may be hoping to rally the bugbears against us, so we'd best be ready for a fight anyway," Roshek offers his opinion.
OOC: Mapwise, if we end up near the bugbear lair in the dungeon, we should be able to make straight for the hidden entrance we used to get down here, which is where we left the merchants we freed. However, the bugbears are still likely to be there, and the gnolls are nearby as well, and they may take the opportunity to curry favour with Lareth by trying to free him.

At least for myself i meant: once outside, return through the main entrance to get the merchants that were hiding out that way. And we need to gag Lareth anyway

The secret passage Lareth is talking about. It sounded like it leads off outside near where we encountered the bugbears. Greywolf, can you clarify if that goes past the merchants or not?

OOC: Yes Rax is correct the secret exit leads to the location on the map that comes out in the hallway between where the merchants are waiting and where the small camp of bugbears was located. The ones outside are off by a hidden entrance rather than the main entrance. Map
