"Probably just some teens making a ruckus," Jonas remarks.
At this point, two more arrive--Henna and Norris. Henna is wearing a very nice looking suit of studded leather and has a mace on her belt, a bow slung over her back, and a halberd in hand. Norris, meanwhile, is wearing white robes with gold trim and is carrying a quarterstaff.
"Ah, Mister Sern," Jonas greets coolly, perhaps still a bit upset at losing to the mage in the first round of the combat contest.

"Ah, welcome you two," Ladonna says to Norris and Henna. "I trust you two are well?"

"Well enough," Henna says. She is holding the reins to a white horse wearing leather barding. However, the horse suddenly digs its heels in and refuses to move any further, nickering nervously upon getting close to the party. "Whoa, what's wrong with you, girl? Odd, she never acts like this." A bit embarrassed, Henna tries to soothe and calm the horse.
Norris doesn't return Jonas' greeting, and doesn't seem interested in Henna's horse's behavior. Rather, he has the usual bored expression on his face. "I heard you almost won the combat contest," he says to Ladonna. "You were beaten by the same woman who beat me, weren't you?"

"I wish I had your expertise," Lillian says. "Animals have never liked me."

"I don't understand, she never acts like this," Henna assures them, still trying to rein in the horse. "Lissa, what is wrong with you? I've never seen you so spooked before."

Ladonna looks over to Blossom, and notices that she is acting the same way. "I'm afraid I don't know much about animals," she admits. She gently pets her pony as she looks to Norris. "She's a tough woman to beat," she admits. "I just couldn't get through her defenses."

"Well, I'll leave you to it," Lillian says, stepping a good distance away.

"I'd like to see someone knock that aasimar down a peg or two," Norris says. "Especially if it were me. Next year, I'll be ready for her."
Once Lillian has moved a good fifty feet away from the others, the horse and the pony begin to calm down.

"You aren't a fan of losing," Ladonna says in amusement. "Though, she did seem overconfident."

"Nobody likes losing," Norris points out.
"That's odd, the animals seem calm now," Henna states. "It's almost like they're afraid of your elven friend for some reason."

"Why would they be afraid of Lillian?" Ladonna asks curiously before looking back to Norris. "But did you learn something from your loss?" she asks.

"IN MY EXPERIENCE, ANIMALS HATE ME!" Lillian shouts from 50 feet away.

"I don't get it. I thought elves got along with animals," Henna says.
"That's a stereotype," Liala objects.
"Do you get along with animals?" Henna asks her.
"Well...yes," Liala admits.
Henna shakes her head. "Well, what are we supposed to do? Leave the animals behind? Or just have her stay far away from the main group?"
Norris, meanwhile, says, "I saw into her mind. I know her weaknesses. I can beat her next time."

"I'D BE FINE WITH STAYING AWAY. I WON'T ASK ANY ANIMALS TO STAY BEHIND FOR MY SAKE."
