"Thank you, Sir Mini-tar," Albert says, mispronouncing his peoples' name. He bows, and leaves Qurrak.

After a night's sleep in the guest rooms, Selena awakens the party with her silver bell.
"No time for chit-chat," she says, ushering them into the dining hall. "Breakfast, then you set off." Sitting at the table are the Duke, the King, his daughters, Countess Kartop, and her children.
"Ah, I wanted to thank you for--" the elderly noble starts to say, before Selena snaps "No time for chit-chat! They must be on their way, soon!" Kartop glares at Miss Serpentine, but makes no further objection.
About halfway through breakfast, Meine sighs and says, "Look, Da--father, I need to tell you--"
"NO TIME FOR CHIT-CHAT!" Selena snaps again. "Tell him later!"
Typhania arches her eyebrow at Miss Serpentine. "You're on edge this morning. Why?"
The advisor takes a seat and impatiently taps her nails on the table. "Two nobles try to kill me and they're running free, I would be irritated. By the way, their lands now belong to Countess Lenkinshire."
"....me?" Winnifred squeaks. "But...I'm certainly not unthankful, but--"
"NO TIME FOR CHIT-CHAT!"

His injuries all healed now, Daos sits down and quickly eats breakfast wordlessly.

The second Qurrak and Daos finish their meals, Selena pushes them up and says, "Excellent, you're finished. Come, you need to meet General Blackpool before you set off."
"I have to say goodbye--" Meine says, before Miss Serpentine cuts her off with "NO TIME FOR CHIT-CHAT!" She practically drags Daos and Qurrak down to the city gates, where a mustachioed human with fiery red hair stands by a battalion.
"Ah, Miss Serpentine! These are the adventurers, are they not?" he says in a gruff, but gentle voice. Selena, looking annoyed, quickly answers, "Yes, now leave me be--I have to fetch the Duke and princess." She rushes back towards the castle. After an awkward silence, he clears his throat and says, "Well, I suppose we should introduce ourselves?"

Qurrak also eat quitly.
But he has much more confident aura about him. His back is straight, and he doesn't avoid stares as much.

Daos scratches the back of his neck. Seems there is some time for chitchat after all. "Uh, I'm Daos Soulstaff, a minor mage. Nice to meet you...General Blackpool, I presume?"

"It's a pleasure!" he says. "My men will be working in conjunction with you and the Duke, I presume. Those assassins will soon be--"
"Blackpool? You're not chit-chatting, are you?" snaps Miss Serpentine as she returns with Meine and the Duke.
"Oh, no, I would never," he says, with a wink to Daos and Qurrak. Selena grunts.
"Well, saddle up, you five. The sooner you get to Deppsburg, the better."
She ushers them all onto their horses and dashes back inside the city.
"Glad to see this town go," Meine quips. "I've been stuck there forever."
"Yes, our little trip their did seem to overstay its welcome," laughs the Duke. Meine shoots him a glare.
"Come, friends! We ride!" shouts a boisterous General Blackpool, as he leads the battalion down the road on horseback.
