It's summer, so the sun will be going sometime around 8:30 or so.

Kael won't have any strong preference on what to do (about spending the night here or leaving right away), she'll follow the decision of the group.
Tbh Parra's plan seems pretty logical to me, we know he'll eventually come back, we have time to prepare some kind of trap.

Is there a mechanic whereby I could help Parra with her climbing check?

The way climbing works in 2E is that non-rogues with no mountaineering skills have a base 40% chance of success.
Wearing armor lowers that chance, as is encumbrance and being bloodied (none of which currently applies to Parra). Slippery or icy surface conditions also decrease the chance, but that's not an issue here.
Kaelestia could try giving her a boost, but I wouldn't recommend that. Kael has a STR of 13, but Parra weighs 336 lbs (152 kg), so you'd probably be better off having Parra give Kaelestia a boost instead. As Parra is 6'9" (about 2 meters) tall, that would add another 40% of success.
Probably the best option is someone toss a rope with a grappling hook up there. Having a rope against a wall adds a 55% chance of success, which would boost the odds from 40% to 95%.

Perfect, thanks! I'll leave the decision on how to act to Igor then.

Quick little lore correction, Matt4. The Dark Knights don't exist yet; it was the Dragonarmy that Kael is likely referring to.

(ooc: not entirely sure if this is true in DL but if FR there is a race that can grow and shrink I thought it was the Gray Dwarves or Deep Gnomes maybe....I do at times get wires crossed. Looks like Theiwar Dwarf does not have the enlarge ability that the forgotten realms Duergar do actually have.) It sounds like you are referring to Duergar dwarves and Spriggan gnomes, yes. Neither of those exist in Dragonlance, however. Theiwar dwarves are capable of magic, though, and there is a 1st level spell (Enlarge/Reduce) that lets one change their size.
