"Thanks for the help," Daos says. "Can you give us directions to the Retired Pirate?"

"Just down main street--it's got a big sign with a jolly roger on it. Can't miss it."

As the party enters the Pirate, they see a rather bustling little tavern. Then they remember that it's midday, and what would be bustling in the evening is a substantial crowd before lunch. Two familiar faces sit in the corner--Rick Smimes and his Goliath partners, the Dragons who were threatening Draft, sulk in a corner table with a glass of ale.
"Mornin', sirs and miss," greets an Elven waitress. "How can I be of service?"

"We were hoping for a private meeting with Mister Lowlen," Daos explains.

"So is everyone else," she says sarcastically. "Unless South Sealand is on the brink of civil war, you're going to have to wait."
"Uh...is that a possibility?" Meine whispers to Daos.

He shrugs to Meine, then looks back to the waitress. "How long of a wait are we talking about here?" Daos asks. He hadn't realized the man was that popular.

She shrugs. "Days, weeks...he's the most respected man in town. He doesn't take private engagements lightly."

"We are representatives of the duke himself, not to mention the king," Daos informs her. "Is there not some way to speed things up?"

The waitress pauses and thinks. "...well, that's one way to speed it up." She leads the party through the tavern--a well-kept pub, but with just enough squalor for thieves and pirates to feel right at home. At the bar stands an old man with a gray, whiskery beard. He wears a faded bandana that was once red over most of a nasty scar that peeks out onto his crooked nose.
"Boss, these three say they're representing the king--and they want to talk with you," the Elf explains. Lurky strokes his beard.
"I didn't think the king cared about our little town...not as if he likes rats or criminals," he muses. Despite his pirate-like accent and weathered voice, he reminds you of a wise old sage. "Come along. We have a secret meeting room, we can talk in there." He leaves the bar and beckons for the party to join him in a room labelled "Back Room (for Seedy Business).:

Seeing the sign, Daos says to himself, "Well, that's a bit on the nose." Once inside, he gets straight to the point with Lurky. "We're told you know just about everyone in this town, including the Night Hydras. They've kidnapped the duke's daughter, and we're hoping you might know where they could be holding her."

Lurky shooes some sketchy characters out of the room and takes a seat. He arches his eyebrow at the three.
"My, my...that is serious business. Those Hydras are really pushing the envelope, here..." He scratches his beard. "The King sent his soldiers to help clean up the city, and the Hydras, threatened, took the Duke's daughter hostage. That's the worst thing they could have possibly done. They could just as easily fast talk their way into an alliance against the Dragons, get out of being punished, and shifted their business to...more or less legitimate enterprises. No skin off their back. At least, that's what I'd do..." he remarks, looking blissfully nostalgic. "But I think I know where they'd be keeping her." He pulls a map off the wall, covered with notes on every location imagineable.
"Just...uh, ignore the ones I'm not pointing at," he says, covering the text 'pixie dust' with his arm.
"I had the idea that we could draw circles around areas with high Hydra activity?" Meine says. "And find where they intersect?"
"I've done that time and time again, missy. For the highest profile of target, it would have to be right here," he says, pointing to a house in Hydra territory. "It's right in three hotbeds of Night Hydras, and it's close enough to the docks that they can transfer her away at short notice--presuming you haven't already shut down the docks."
Qurrak recognizes the location--it's Valerie's house.

Daos looks at the map where Lurky is pointing and nods. "Any idea of what sort of security they have there?"
