"I believe they died of thirst," Moiroloi says. "Fragile beings that cannot survive on salt water, when it is so much more plentiful. And my reasons are my own. You will forfeit command of your vessel to me. You may have it back when I am finished with it."

"What are you doing here alone Moiroloi? Where is your family? How do you manage to survive? Are you a genasi? I've a genasi child..." he says proudly, but then his face fall, "Which I miss... I never thought it would be that difficult to be apart." his focus returns to the woman, "Well, about the men, do you know when their vessel crashed? And about our own ship, well... we still need it, but maybe we can find some settlement and help you get where you need?"

Brax huffing and puffing a bit finally reaches the others... "So eh, what I miss?"

"I am no genasi, little one, I am a sirine," Moiroloi answers. "And my family is dead. Killed in the undersea war. And that is why I'll be commandeering your ship--to avenge them."

"I'm not willing to give up command of my ship," Kalana says. "We are chasing after some friends of ours, and the more we delay, the more likely we are to never find them. Plus, I'm not exactly trying sure how our ship is going to be of any use in a war under the water."

"I wasn't asking," Moiroloi clarifies. She draws a javelin from a quiver over her shoulder, and points it at the group. "Surrender or I will make you surrender."

"Wait, wait... we don't want no one to get hurt do we?" Senlip puts a hand on Kalana to keep her from provoking the Sirine. "Moiroloi, we are truly sorry to hear about your family. We heard of the underwater war. Mermen fighting these shark like creatures... sahuagin. Both races are ferocious and ruthless creatures. We saw sahuagin tear up a flock of dolphins and other attacked us on our ship. We hold no love to them to say the least." He stands between the group and the sirine and tries to move slowly closer, "Look, we sympathize with you. We lost a friend not so long ago. I know it's not like a family but still. Maybe we can help you... as friends." he motions to her to hold down the javelin. "What creates have attacked your family? Were they sahuagin as well? Do you have other of your kind that can help you? Where do you think are these Monsters now?"

Moiroloi lowers her javelin after a bit of thought. "Knowing my story changes nothing. But so be it. No, it was not sahuagin. They were scrags. My sisters and I lived on this island in peace for many years. There is a band of scrags who were too few in number to threaten us, but often harassed ships passing through these waters. They raid these ships for supplies to help in the war. About a month ago, they raided one such ship, but were defeated. Would that the story ended there, but the foolish humans on that ship did not properly dispose of them. They cut off their heads, then tossed them back into the sea. As anyone with an ounce of sense knows, salt water regenerates scrags. Not only did this revive the fallen scrags, it increased their numbers. They now had enough men to successfully attack our island, so they did. I was the only survivor. But I managed to take one of them alive for questioning. That scrag died a long, slow and painful death, I assure you. For many nights did its screams ring throughout the island. But now I know enough to get my vengeance. I only need a ship to carry it out. I will take your ship into their waters, and wait for them to attack. Then I will see that they are all slaughtered--properly, this time."

Kalana remembers fighting such creatures, and she tries to remember what they did with the bodies. It was quite possible they were the indirect cause. She closes her eyes tightly for a moment, and let's out a sigh. "Excuse us a moment " Kalana says before she backs away and says in hushed whispers to her group. "We might be indirectly responsible, and with that in mind, we should help."

Brax raises an eyebrow "Eh? We? I ain't never fought no underwater war or fought with no sahuagin or scrags."

"Yeah, I'm not sure what you're referring to either," admits Auli'i.

"I don't think you two were on the ship yet," Kalana says. "But I do remember fighting scraps, and vaguely remember throwing them overboard at the suggestion of another crew member, " she says.

"I thought we should help in any case. And I bet there are many sailors that throw the scrags bodies to water. No one wants that stink on board. And if I was a scrag I'd just cut my friends and throw them to the water making thousands of us. It's a wonder they haven't done it already... Let's get some info from this, err, lady sirine, and then see if we can pull it off." Senllip looks at Moiroloi again. He smiles and approaches her carefully and mentions to Kalana to follow close. "Hi again. So we have our own destination but we want to help you get vengeance. Even that it will not eliminate the pain of losing ones we love, we would like to ease your pain somewhat at least. So, maybe if you can give us the details where are the waters they are lurking in, what are their numbers, what can they do and how to properly kill them we can make better decisions and maybe come up with a plan. OK? No need to direct your anger at us. It will better serve if we cooperate and end this threat as they may return to attack you. Bayla is our navigator and is very smart. If you explain her their place, she will know the best course of action. This is Kalana. She commands the vessel. Bayla is here. This is Auli'i, and here is Brax." Senllip presents each of the members and then let Kalana take the discussion from here.
