"Oh, for the love of..." Ladonna says. "Watch him!" With that said, she runs out of the room to go get Osabar. She explains the situation to him quickly as she nearly drags him along while telling him that they have to hurry.

Ladonna runs at full sprint back to the inn, where she last saw Oskibor. Breathlessly explaining the situation, they run back together, although Oskibor isn't in the greatest shape and keeps falling behind.
When they finally arrive, Ladonna sees that Thessila has finally snapped out of it, and is kneeling by the lad, placing a belt in his mouth to bite on and hopefully stop him from swallowing his tongue. Oskibor looks him over and shakes his head. "Oh, geez...this is bad. Uh, let's see...there's not a whole lot I can do. Wait, I know." He lays hands on Tavos and begins to pray, and a golden light surrounds his hands and seeps into Tavos' body. Slowly, Tavos' convulsions begin to wane. Then he falls unconscious.
Wiping off large beads of sweat from his forehead, Oskibor says, "He's poisoned and it's pretty lethal. I can't cure it; that's beyond my power. I did slow it down, though. It will kill him in a few hours, instead of minutes. We might be able to mix up a cure by then."

"Sentiment, I suppose," Lillian answers. "I learned the bard trade from someone who...someone who was like a father to me."

"Well, I always say, you need to live life for yourself, not others," Bula comments. "Maybe you need to figure out what you want to do with your life, instead of what others wanted for you."

"Oh, I don't want anything for myself. Just to...well, live," Lillian answers.

"And how do you define 'living?'" Bula asks, cleaning out an empty mug.

"Being...confident, accepted, appreciated. Everything I'm not, I suppose," Lillian says, suddenly grinning. "I'll have to cut my hair and change my name to Esmerelda, or something."

"What would you need to mix up a cure?" Ladonna asks Oskibar.

Ladonna "Me? Oh, no. I don't know anything at all about herbalism. Or the healing arts. My wife is more knowledgeable in that area. You're going to need to find an expert to cure him," Oskibor explains.
Lillian "Do you feel being a bard will get you all those things?" Bula asks.

Lillian pauses before answering. "It's a road to that. But I have to walk it, instead of sitting on a bench with my head between my legs."

Bula nods in agreement. "Can't get anywhere in life if one doesn't move. So, what's stopping you then?"

"This might sound a bit silly," Lillian explains. "But...on some level, that stagnancy is who I am. That's what 'Lillian' is like: aloof, listless, awkward. I'm afraid that if I change that, I'll be a different person, a different...character." She smirks. "It's a dilemma, isn't it? Change who I am and follow my dreams, or remain true to myself and suffer."

"Different isn't bad. Everyone should have the chance to grow and change," Bula points out. "They say you should always be yourself, but that doesn't mean it can't be the best version of yourself. Besides, I think you're being pretty hard on yourself by suggesting that you are just naturally meant to be unhappy. I used to be a slave. Now I run a bar, am happily married and am raising a beautiful child. It's hard to fathom just how much my life has changed in the last few years."

Ladonna thinks about who could actually help Tavos, and then snaps her figures once she figures it out. "Finbul," she says. "Most likely at least." She looks at the chest that is the culprit of this whole mess, and finally just opens it to see what is inside. There was a possibility that there was a cure inside.

Inside the chest, Ladonna finds a suit of armor, but made up of all mismatched pieces. The breastplate is brigadine, one gauntlet is leather while the other is splint, and the leggings are studded leather. Ladonna remembers this is the armor Jherek used to wear on their adventures together.
