At Henry's words, the older Child's eye twitches, and he scowls in rage. "You're just one of Mondath's orphaned bastards, aren't you?" he accuses. "That's why you name-dropped her earlier, like she was actually someone important. I left the Knights on my own, brat, because I wanted to become part of something greater than myself. Unlike you, I was hand-picked by the Master herself. She gave me a new Vision, the first after nearly a decade!" His eyes flash with fanaticism, and he practically spits when he talks, he's so worked up. "A bastard half-elf like you couldn't begin to understand what it's like!" While this is happening, Chantilly refreshes her illusion, as everyone is pretty distracted at this point. "Easy, Anders," says one of the other Children. "Remember your breathing techniques..." "No!" Anders snaps, a wild look in his eye. "I have a better idea. There's no need to find the intruders, we already have." He draws his sword. "They put on our robes and infiltrated us, but they slipped up and attacked, so we had no choice but to kill them all. At least, that's what our report to Borngrey will be when he returns. No doubt we will be well rewarded for our efforts. Perhaps we'll even be transferred out of this damp, crumbling castle on the backass of nowhere!" The other Children appear skeptical at first, but Anders' mention of them getting a transfer seems to change their minds. They all start drawing their swords. Eliana looks around at the various cultists, frowns, but it doesn't stop her from casting her spell. Lightning crackles between her fingertips as she calls down lighting to take care of the cultist.

Drawing their scimitars, the Children rush forward. Henry readies his own sword and moves in to meet them, engaging with Anders. He slashes at the Child twice, and Chantilly hops up on the table and shoots him in the shoulder, as well. Eliana, meanwhile, moves to the edge of the room and unleashes a lightning bolt, which completely fries at least two of the Children, and injuring two more. Jamna and Zakkoth, working together, take out another one. However, from there, things turn a bit south. Another Child rushes forward and gets a lucky hit, taking Henry down with several slashes of her blade. Eliana isn't use to have so many enemies coming at her at the same time. In a panic, she casts lightning bolt again. They are all clustered together to get to her, so she hopes it works.

While Snapjaw and Jamna try to protect the party on the east side of the room, Eliana faces a group stampeding toward her on the western side. She unleashes another bolt of lightning, which takes out two more Children (including Anders). A couple veer off toward the eastern side, but Chantilly puts one down with her crossbow. At least two make it to Eliana and start slicing at her with acid dripping scimitars, but by some miracle she evades every single attack. Zakkoth tries to come to her rescue and use his power of the heart to scare off her attackers, but to no avail. The Children are so fanatic that their hearts know almost no fear at all. If he manage to reach him, Zakkoth would heal Henry (using 3 level spell slot)

Hopping off the table, Chantilly stabs one of the Children in the back, killing him. This frees up Eliana to blast the other with a weaker lightning spell, encircling the Child in a ring of blue electricity. Snapjaw tries to hold off the ones to the south, but is quickly cut down by their acidic blades. From there, the Children split up, some heading westward toward Eliana and the others eastward toward Zakkoth. One even reaches the old Baaz and cuts him slightly.
