Eliana opens things up by chanting and then unleashing a bolt of lightning toward the third canoe, frying two of the Jarak-sinn badly, but not outright killing them.  One of them from the second canoe runs up and strikes the Solamnic woman with his club, bloodying her nose.

Zakkoth steps out of the tent, grumbling something nonsensical, and then casts a spell of his own, conjuring thick, strong webbing over by the first canoe.  However, two of the Jarak-sinn escape and run for Eliana, and one of them hits her again in the shoulder.  But the third one remains stuck in the webbing, for now.

Chantilly emerges from the tent, as well, and fires her crossbow at the first Jarak-sinn that struck Eliana.  Henry then moves up and cuts the creature down with his sword.  Jamna slips in from around the firepit and stabs another creature from behind.  Of the remaining Jarak-sinn, two go for Henry but are unable to pierce his thick armor.  Another strikes at both half-elves, but misses them both.  The two badly burned ones remain at a distance, and instead throw javelins at Chantilly and Zakkoth, respectively.  The half-kender gets hit, but the bozak's armor protects him.

Henry sure bobs and weaves to avoid being hit, but there are so many enemies that doing so has proven quite hard; luckily the armour has been quite effective as a protection, but the squire doesn't believe he's going to be lucky much longer. When Eliana wisely moves away, Henry steps in where she was to engage some of the enemies already wounded by his companions and to provide enough of a distraction so that Jamna might have an easier time to strike them down.

Ducking and weaving, Eliana manages to withdraw to a safe distance, with Henry moving in to cover her retreat.  This allows one of the Jarak-sinn to get a glancing blow against the squire.  None of the others can touch him, though.  Zakkoth fries one with a spell, and Chantilly wounds another with her crossbow.  Henry then cuts down the one Chantilly hit, then cuts down a second one, while Jamna wounds a third.

Meanwhile, the one Jarak-sinn who was still stuck in the web manages to tear himself free, but does not yet attack.

It was just a matter of time before a weapon would find purchase and wound Henry, but at least it's just a small cut that hurts more than anything else; still, it's not a good reason to dragging this battle out, so he keeps fighting in his usual style: powerful strikes meant to batter the enemies' defenses and break them one by one. Even though it seems he has been quite successful until now, he's not really that enthused to have to kill these people and wonder why they seem to be willing to fight to the end so he bellows at Eliana "Ask them to surrender! Tell them we'll spare their lives if they drop their weapons!"

Eliana's plea for the Jarak-sinn to surrender is largely moot, as the party does not pull their punches and continues killing them before any of them can even respond to the call.  Eliana and Zakkoth kill one, Chantilly one-shots one entirely, and Henry slays another before the Jarak-sinn can even get a chance to make that choice.  With only two living ones left by that point, they do choose to drop their weapons and surrender, but the rest are quite dead now.

She then looks to the others. "What other questions do you want me to ask them?" she asks. "They mentioned an elf when they attacked us, so I'm asking about that person right now."

"I am fine, nothing to worry about. I just wish I was this popular when I was a kid." Henry half-jokingly says to Chantilly now that the battle has been won, then proceed to restrain the two surviving enemies per Eliana's request and check if they're in immediate need of healing. When one of the Jarak-sinn shows they know the common tongue, he asks as well some questions even though the topic of the elf made him frown with displeasure "It would be useful to know where the castle is and what defenses we might expect."
