"Wouldn't it be easier if one of us goes in with her rather than standing like lemons here, wondering if we know how to tell the difference? I don't mind if you're not rushing to?" Terani offers as he strode towards the front door to the hag's house.

“I don’t think she wanted us to come. The hag probably doesn’t either,” April answers, not realizing that Terani is already walking through the door.

"Well, I wouldn't want the changes to be permanent of course. Just for short amount of times, like an hour top. Just to get things done... But I assume it wouldn't be free on your side, wouldn't it?"

The hag nods. "Of course, dearie, it would take some getting used to it. You could probably only manage it about an hour a day, at best. But practice makes perfect." She chuckles a bit. "And of course, nothing is free."
Suddenly the door swings open and Terani charges in boldly, looking around as if expecting to see...something horrendous or horrifying. Instead, he just finds the interior of a cozy shack and Poppy and the hag having a casual conversation.
"Hmm, your servant isn't much for knocking, is he?" the hag asks Poppy, cocking a brow at the young priest.

Kalinda decides to still stand outside. She wasn't going in there unless there was trouble, and right now there wasn't trouble.

"Not that I don't trust you lady, but luring anyone to their premature death isn't in my books as trustworthy. I'm just here as an observer so long as nothing untoward happens. Please... carry on." Terani explains as he perched in a relaxed way against the wall.

Poppy was about to answer to the hag when Terani stormed in. She sighed and shrugged: "Thank you, Terani... So, what would the price be?" - she asks the hag.

"Well, you shouldn't trust me, sonny," the hag says to Terani. "You shouldn't trust anyone. Everyone has an agenda, an angle. Nobody does anything out of pure altruism alone. Remember that."
To Poppy she says, "Well, normally I'd ask for your first born child, or maybe your voice. You know, standard boiler-plate stuff. But in this unique instance, all I would ask in return is to spare my life. Leave my island and leave me be. As for the ritual itself, all you need to do is stand before the cauldron, recite your true name, and then toss a bit of yourself into the stew. A lock of hair, a drop of blood, whatever you prefer."

Smiling at the comments about not trusting, Terani sucks his teeth but for the moment status quiet.

“…you know, now we have to ask Terani something personal, too. And we literally just met him today,” April grumbles.

"And you'll give the piece of paper too, of course, right?" - Poppy says.

"Of course, dearie. It's just scratch paper, nothing important," the hag says.

"That could be a problem," Kalinda says. "Except I don't thing that the hag is going to imitate one of us again. It isn't in her best interest."

"I see." - Poppy says. - "Before proceeding, can you tell me exactly how the power will work?"

"It won't be as effortless for you as it is for me, at least not at first," the hag says. "But with practice, you will get better at it. At first, you'll probably only manage to do it once a day, at best, and probably no longer than an hour at most. Concentrate on a mental image of yourself standing next to the person you want to look like. Then imagine the new look moving over the original, concealing it. The process will get easier with use, and once the illusion is up it should stay up until you dismiss it or you run out of power; you shouldn't need to focus any on maintaining it. Now understand, there are limitations. You cannot make yourself look like something with an entirely different body shape. It'll need to be humanoid. You can appear a bit taller or shorter, but not overly so. And the illusion isn't perfect. It'll fool the eyes, but not the other senses. And people who are suspicious enough, like your human friend out there, can still possibly see through them, like she did for me."
