Daos how many entries are there between the Academic Sector and the Ruler Sector? Just to know if we have other chances to entry in case we mess up with this group of guards.

Between those two sectors, just the one. However, as the Ruler Sector is in the center of the city, there are also gates to it in the Labor and Merchant Sectors, as well (there was one from the Slums Sector, but it's long been sealed off).

GravityEmblem and Igordragonian what do you say we do? I fear that if we hand them the purses, we will leave vastly lightened. Should we try to offer them the bribe? However, I am afraid they will not accept wholeheartedly in hopes of squeezing more out of us.

Yeah, they're the worst. But maybe in the future the party can investigate possible ways to bypass them.

Uhhhh. Ominous that one. Although honestly I would rather fight giant mutant pirate crocodiles in the sewers than deal with ONK. I don't know if the others agree to this tho'.

Don't worry, Gravity. We'll get out of this one way or another.
When I'll ask you to show the guards your purse you could just pretend you forgot it at home and then go from wired girl to depressed girl. That should do the trick, imo.

I would say you could play along and pretend to be my daughter. Then reach to your side to get your purse only to "realize" (oh my gosh) you forgot it at home. I think that would be believable and even in character for Nerisse (you are pranking the guards xD). And you're not lying. You don't have the money with you. They might want to search you, but that shouldn't be a problem, other than the discomfort. I don't think you are carrying illegal items on your person.
The problem is if they were to inspect Igor's character. At that point, we have to hope that he can use his thieving skills to hide his purse from them lol.

Well, yes, but I don’t know how to say it. And for some reason, this game situation is inordinately distressing me—I don’t know, maybe because this is all my fault (as mentioned above) and I’m paralyzed with indecision and whatnot.
