Before going down to the morgue, Sylas, noticing Nerisse's discomfort, sidles up to her and says under his breath in drow, "We'll be out of here in no time, don't worry. I too used to have problems with sacred places associated with the Renos creed at first, but in time things got better and so they will for you. Just think about the autopsy, for now. It will help distract you."
Sylas uses a notably low tone of voice to avoid being overheard by Zemora. He noticed that the younger of the two is particularly competitive with her older sister. He's afraid she could perceive this specific topic as an embarrassment should it reach her sister's ears.
==============
Sylas, noticing that many of the more talkative members of the group have grown silent once inside the temple, decides to step forward to speak to the woman in the morgue. "Greetings, Reverend Anise. My name is Sylas, and these are my partners."
Again, he pays his respects according to the traditions of the drow church of Renos. Then he continues: "Your colleague at the door directed us to you. We are here as Camille Hennequin's representatives to conduct an independent autopsy on the body of Edword Hennequin."

Zemora watches as Sylas sussurates something to Nerisse, and frowns. She didn't really like the fact that they both worshipped that airhead of Crizza, and felt that it was one more thing that was making things difficult between her and her sibling. But she doesn't want to intrude their exchange so she keeps following the half-orc's directions.
When they finally arrive in the morgue, Zemora smiles at the woman, - "Greetings, Reverend Anise. Praise to the Harbinger." - she says to her. - "My collegue is right. I would also like to request to speak with the coroner that performed the previous autopsy on mr. Hennequin. Is that you by chance?" - the drow asks.

Nerisse takes a deep breath and calms down as Sylas reassures her. Also in Drow, though in less of a whisper, she responds “Thank you, Sylas, that’s very sweet.” Taking his advice, she lists all the poisons and combinations of poisons Mr Henniquen may have fallen victim to in her head.

The woman frowns slightly. "I am Anise," she confirms. "But I am no priest. I am a woman of science. I am the coroner here, as well as the mortician. I did not study for years at the university to be confused with some spell casting cleric." She moves over to her desk, setting down her book and picking up a different one, flipping through it. "Hennequin...Hennequin...ah, here we are. Yes, Edword Hennequin has already been autopsied. By me. His cause of death was cardiac arrest." She shakes her head. "His widow sent you? She really needs to let this go. Some people just can't accept the truth, even when it's staring them in the face."

“Well, Ms. Anise, we’re private detectives. we make good money off of people who can’t accept the truth,” Nerisse says with a coy smile. “So we’ll just do what we’re paid for and get out of your hair, ok?”

"Aside from the cardiac arrest, did you notice anything else of note during your examination, even unrelated to the cause of death?" - Zemora asks.

Anise frowns a bit, squinting through her spectacles. For a moment, it looks like she won't cooperate, but then she shrugs. "Whatever. I've already been paid, just don't butcher the body. The family wants it returned to their crypt once the widow finally lets it go."
She snaps her book close and sets it back on the desk. "Over there, it's still out," she says, gesturing to a table in the back. A figure lays on it, face up, a white sheet covering them up. To Zemora's question, she answers, "No. Seemed pretty normal, as far as I could tell. No sign of anything unusual or interesting, to say the least." She shrugs. "This sort of thing is more common than you'd think."

Sylas replies to Anise, "Thank you. I don't promise that we will be quick, but we won't stay longer than we have to."
He then approaches the corpse, getting right to work in search for any anomaly on it.

OOC: I would like to study the body and do an Observation check, if possible. I don't know if it has been opened and if its organs have been inspected, but if so, before I put my hands on it, I'll wait for the group's experts in medicine to do their work and I'll assist them if they wish, while continuing to observe for anything unusual. As someone trained in assassination, I should know enough about unnatural deaths and any effects they may leave behind (or how to hide them), to justify the check in Observation.

Removing the sheet reveals the body. He's human, perhaps around 30 or so, and was probably considered once handsome. He's quite pale, but very well preserved and one might almost think he was simply in a deep sleep, at least until they touch him and feel how cold he is. He is unclothed, although his underwear is kept on for modesty's sake. A clear scar can be seen running down his chest where he was opened up, but it has since been sewn back up.

(OOC: Yeah, you can make an Observation check, if you want.)

Tukgruff and Regret watch the corpse closely and even sniff a bit. He try to find activities of some parasites or subtle bite marks of insect or something Something that fancier people then himself (99% of the people) wouldnt even consider. Something yucky and disgusting, maybe.

A careful examination of the body reveals no marks, bites, or wounds (aside from the aforementioned cut down his chest). There's also no sign of bruising. However this man died, it does not appear to be from any sort of physical injury, at least not any that are detectable.

After examining the body in its entirety, Sylas says, "I don't see any abnormal external signs. If he was actually killed, we can rule out substances from contact or inoculation. That leaves the possibility that he was killed by magic, by an inhalatory substance or that he ingested something, forcibly or otherwise. I think it would be best to see if the organs are in any way compromised." He says turning to the two drow sisters.
"I can assist you during the operation. It is not my field of experience, but I might notice something strange." He continues.
Then he turns to Anise, saying, "Doctor, do you know in what position the deceased was found? It might help to reconstruct what happened."

As Sylas questions Anise, Nerisse peers down the corpse’s throat, looking for any signs of poison. It’s a long shot, but it’s all she can do.
