CH. 04 - Written in Blood

Ha Yun steps inside the house,and looks for signs of recent life.

While there are plenty of signs of death, Ha-Yun does not see any signs of life here any time recently.

"I know they said the lake is far, but since the cloth we saw in the previous house were muddy and since the girl painted her friend drowning in the lake, and now the stories tells he is back again, maybe we should check the way from here to the lake. Unless you see other source of mud around here." Chispa suggests.

"Alright. It doesn't look like we are going to find anything here others than more death." Ha Yun says.

As we head toward the lake, while also watching for dangers Vulpi will look at the trees, is there anything weird or sinister about them? Would they make good carving wood?

(OOC:  Given that nobody in the party knows where Cradlelace Lake is, or how far away it is, how are we deciding where to go?  Just picking a random direction?)

These houses look like they've been abandoned for well over the two weeks ago since Polder said he'd seen Kianna right?

(OOC:  Okay, but you've only searched three of the seven farmhouses so far.  Do you maybe want to finish that up before running off elsewhere?)

Ha Yun looks at the other houses, and heads towards the next one in line. "There is a chance we might find more with these other houses," she calls to the others.

The fourth house checked is much like the others, but this one has a strange image painted on the wall in red mud.  It depicts dozens of red hand prints.

The fifth house, however, is quite different.  Much larger and more intact and with no red 'X' on it.  It appears abandoned like the smaller ones, though.  Farming implements lie abandoned in the mud, and wild plants have grown up to the house's faded wooden porch.  The crops in the surrounding field appear sickly.

"Something went awry here quickly. I don't know a workman worth their salt that leaves their tools out to the elements. This wasn't some contagion that ran its course in days, at most the event takes minutes." Vulpi will take their purple handkerchief from their arm and tie it around their face to cover their nose and mouth.

Chispa takes a good look at the picture trying to see if the hand prints are all about the same size, from the same hand, or from multiple hands.
"These houses are very disturbing. I hope we will be able to save these people if anyone had survived."

The red handprints at the fourth house appear to be all from the same person, and they are clustered together.

The farmhouses appear to have been abandoned roughly around two weeks ago.

"This is creepy..." Chispa comments again. "The houses seems the same yet, the previous one had all the hand marks. Like a child work. And this one is different. This one doesn't have the red mark. I didn't notice it at first, only after the second time around it. Either no one was left to mark it, or maybe it is something else..." Chispa tries to peek through the house openings to see if this one is the same inside or something suggests it worth investigating.
