Overhearing Chispa tell Seeboe that she doesn't have rope: "You are travelling planets without rope? Is it your first time? No wonder you are concerned about traps in sick people's houses, the tales of adventurers are full of them. Do you have a favorite? I admire Minsc and Boo, find Tasslehoff's ... curiosity is appealing, but regrettably I think Drizzt might have the most firm grasp on reality though."

ooc: I totally get adventuring without rope and had just kinda assumed it since it is in most of the starter packs; but figure it could be a good opportunity to pull in role play since we kinda already have this thing going where Chispa is more cautious about traps. Hope you are okay with it. IDK Chispa's history, saw she was 55 which when I looked up dwarf info it seemed was right after dwarves were no longer considered young and so "first time" seemed reasonable to me.

Chispa blushes and shifts her weight from one leg to the other. "Yeah, I didn't think of it..." She looks at the ground after sneaking a look at Hu-Yan whom she is most afraid to disappoint. After a moment she says, still looking at the floor, "I could make a rope, it I'll weave some metal into it. Such as holding fast it's ends."

(OOC: Sure, no problem. I think role play makes the game much more interesting. Chispa is young enough and she indeed didn't adventure before. She served at the temple and was more about creating items in the workshop and educating kids about art.)

After singing two different healing songs on both Vulpi and Chispa, she looks between the two curiously. "I mean, I didn't bring any rope either. It wasn't one of the things I thought about when I starting traveling to other worlds," she admits with a shrug.

Also I don't thing the trap door is, well trapped [bursts out laughing] NOW I GET WHY YOU WANTED ME TO CHECK FOR 'TRAPS'! Ha Yun, Zencho, do you mind waiting to watch our untied farmer and the 'TRAP' door while Chispa and I go look for something to bind them up with?"

and he get up, also searcing for a rope.

Chispa also goes out to search for rope in the immediate area of the house. "No ropes around. Maybe they used them all on other farmers before they got possessed as well..."

** Guys, if you don't mind, since they are in separate rooms, I assume one can stay untied. They seems pretty mindless zombie like.
We can either go to check the other houses if we want to be thorough or check where the trapdoor leads to. I'm voting for the trapdoor but will follow the majority of the players or Ha-Yun as the PC .)1d20+1

The party thoroughly searches the house a second time, and still finds no evidence of any rope anywhere.

"They are knocked our for now, so it should be ok," Ha Yun says."Providing that we hueey with checking that door," she says.

I guess Vulpi used the chair as something to tie him to but doesn't realize the chair has enough cracks in the wood already that breaking out will be easy

Vulpi removes the farmer's blouse and uses it to try and tie her to a chair awkwardly.

With that done, the party descends down the trap door into what appears to be an old cellar.  Shelves bearing root vegetables and other foodstuffs line the walls.  The south wall has partially collapsed, revealing a dark, narrow tunnel.  The smell of rot and decay is far more pungent down here and seems to be emanating from down the tunnel.

I think previously had tied my handkerchief around my face, but it is certainly there now. Vulpi will ready an arrow as we turn the corner.
