Poppy takes a swing at the first guard, to no avail. Without her weapons, she's of little use.
The shaman calls out orders to his men in Raven Call, then begins praying to the Great Raven. His skin hardens and thickens like wood, protecting him like armor. Terani dodges one guard's spear, then prays again to Elonna, infecting the shaman with necrotic energy. He feels a surge of power this time, and the dark energy is enough to rot the shaman's flesh, leaving nothing but a dried up husk as it collapses to the ground, unmoving.
The fifth guard strikes at April, stabbing her left arm, which is left vulnerable without her coral armor or shield. With the shaman dead, April turns her attention to this guard and tries to shove him, but the guard holds his ground.
Kalinda dodges the spears of her two opponents, then once again strikes at both. And once again, she manages to hurt the first one but the second one blocks. A moment later, Blitz charges into the second guard, causing him to slip on the now slick floor and fall over onto his back with a clatter.
Mizzle, feeling a surge of power in the indoor rain, throws back her hood. Drawing on her water-based powers, she causes the rain around the guards to shimmer and shine like a rainbow, making them easier to strike.
