"I would suggest moving them into the cell. Take their clothing so we can dress up as them. It allows more movement in here I think," Kalinda says. She checks the guards for keys. "We need our weapons back too."

The party helps in dragging the corpses into the cell and removing and equipping their wooden armor. On the plus side, the armor obscures their bodies and with the masks, their faces, too, so the women of the group are better camouflaged. However, such bulky armor may make it difficult to fight for some.
===============
(OOC: Note, if you are not proficient in medium armor, then while wearing this armor you will suffer disadvantage to any ability check, saving throw or attack roll that involves STR or DEX, and you cannot cast spells.
Also note, there are six of you, but there were only five guards, so someone will have to dress as a Ravenite shaman instead. The robes won't affect combat, but they do nothing to conceal body shape or face.)

Glad no-one said they were too hurt, though he looks at April with a little concern. Terani then accepts whatever is left after the others have chosen. "Do we get our gear and leave town or stick about?"

The wood chafes against April's skin, sending a deathly shiver through her bones--it feels gruesome. Like she's wearing someone's skin as armor. She gives a prayer of thanks and mourning to Elonna, imagining what the tree that died to craft this armor was like in its life.
"The mission was a failure," April coldly declared, picking up a spear. "We must return to Supervisor Crane and report to him."

"Once they realize we've escaped and killed several guards, they'll put the entire town under lockdown," Blitz agrees. "I can't fathom how we could stick around unless we went into deep hiding. But where would we hide, and how would we reach the prince when he arrived?"

"Then let us find our gear and be gone. Thank you for entertaining my idea for as long as you have." Terani says entirely dejected.

"Any idea where we should look for our stuff?" Mizzle wonders.

Kalinda decides to put on the Shaman garb because she figures it will be easier for her to move that way. "They probably put them in a room nearby. This place can't be that big," Kalinda says. Now that they were changed, the only way out was the way forward, so she leads the way to where she thinks the exit might be. Though, she keeps her eyes open for where their weapons might be stashed.

Kalinda looks around where the party is now. They are in the basement, the 'dungeon' as it were. There's the large cell they exited from, and another opposite of it, although that one is currently empty. To the left are a pair of doors, and to the right are the stairs leading back up to the main barracks.

"Guess we can check there first?" Terani says, finishing off donning armour and going to the first of the doors.

The first door appears to be locked.
However, the second door opens easily. Inside is a small room that appears to be an interrogation chamber of some kind. There's a single table and chair in the middle, rather worn looking. Dried blood, quite old, stains the table, chair and floor. There's an assortment of sharp looking instruments laid out on the table.

April's skin shivers, with fear and righteous disgust, at the grisly sight of the room. "We're lucky we didn't end up here," she notes.

Terani says a prayer then looks at the rest. "I guess none of you have a key on you from the guard uniforms? Wait... It's it still in the lock?"
(The cell door lock, not the locked room)

(OOC: I had forgotten to mention it before, but Kalinda found keys on one of the dead guards when she searched them.)

"I found some keys, so hopefully they go to this door," Kalinda says. "And your right, April. They probably would have had fun torturing us too," she added before she goes to try to keys in the locked door.
