"I remember you telling stories about Mishakal," Kendra said to Gimak as she reached for the staff in question. "If this staff is an artifact, why has it been lost all these years?" she asked curiously.
There were a lot of questions that needed answers, and she knew that none of them at the moment had them. That was a little on the frustrating side.
"Until Marik remembers more, I guess we just have to deal with the fact that we have this staff now," Kendra said. "I can keep it hidden at my house I guess."

"Aye, I think that's the best idea, lass," Gimak said. "The others are due to return in a few days. When they do, we can figure out our next move and what to do with this staff."
The dwarf looked between the two. "Marik, you best lay low here until then. And you, lass. Watch that staff. Keep it secret, keep it safe. No telling what might happen if it fell into the wrong hands."

"Yeah, and if those stupid goblins decide to harass me again on my way home?" Kendra asked curiously. "They are going to notice that I'm carrying a staff, which they are going to find amusing probably."

"I'll walk you home, lass," Gimak said. "If any goblins bother you, I can personally introduce them to my axe." The old dwarf went to collect the massive battle axe off the mantle of his fireplace. The weapon was nearly as large as he, and despite being taller, Kendra was certain she could not hope to wield such a weapon as easily as the dwarf hefted it.

Kendra laughed lightly before turning to Marik. "So...take care of yourself. I'll come visit, and if you remember anything you can always come visit me I guess," she says. "Mom and dad might not like it much, but that is okay."
