...Why is it reasonable? Smash Bros only allows characters who debut/primarily feature in video games. Seemed. It seemed entirely reasonable to me. I was making a self deprecating joke.

Nope, nope, nope...cannot handle this. Don't you even dare, Telltale! I know what a narrative full circle is!

Not a lot going on, videogame-wise. I'm still playing STO (I made a new character, a Jem'Hadar; and I've mostly been playing the summer Risa event with my Tellarite). I'm still working through Pillars of Eternity 2. I still dabble in the Sims 3, now and again. That's about the extent of it this summer so far.
Anyone else?

I've been playing Space Giant Robot Amputee Pokémon.
BattleTech.

What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets. If I had a Switch, I'd be genuinely excited about this.

Over the weekend I told Snacs I needed a break from BattleTech, but wasn't ready to go so far as to be productve So he suggested I try Dark Souls again. My history with Dark Souls is spotty. I love the lore. I love the idea of the game. Solaire is a personal role model. The problem is that I am a PC gamer dyed in the wool (read: good at mouse and keyboard controls, not so much with console controllers) and the Dark Souls PC controls suck. That, plus how unforgiving Dark Souls is, means in the past I've quickly gotten frustrated and given up. This time around Snacs told me to play with an USB X-Box controller he got for me a few months back and, you know what? I don't hate it as much as I thought I would. So now I'm suck on this freaking Gargoyle, trying to get to the first bell, and having no trouble at all with its melee attacks - it's his fire breath that seems to get me every time.

I've never played Dark Souls, but I did hear the PC port was poorly done. It's a plight many games suffer from, sadly.

After three months, I finished Pillars of Eternity 2. Heck, the first one took me an entire year to finish (then another 6 months to complete the two DLCs), so that's pretty good for me.

I started playing Dontnod's Vampyr, a game where you play a doctor from Victorian England who has just awoken as a vampire and must learn to deal with his new abilities. Interestingly, blood is not HP, but MP. Which means you can choose not to feed on people, but it makes combat much harder as you won't be able to use the various 'spells' you can learn as you level up (such as AoE attacks, healing, long range attacks, etc.).
Also, I just learned that Telltale games, one of my favorite companies, just went under.

This dropped today. It's basically, as far as I can tell, Baldur's Gate but with Pathfinder (1E, I assume?) instead of AD&D 2E.
After I finish Vampyr and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, I'll probably check this one out next.

I finished Vampyr last night, and got the best ending because I didn't kill anyone...who wasn't already trying to kill me first, that is. Anyway, a great game to play during October, to be sure.

Guys. Guys. I linked the fire. Snacs and I 100% completed Dark Souls. That entailed completing it twice (for both endings), killing all optional bosses at least once, finding all Covenants, all Miracles, all Pyromancies and all Sorceries. When I finished I had 115 hours of play time on record. Fun times.

Congratulations. I very rarely complete a game 100%. I can probably count the number of games I've done so with on one hand.

I started playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider last night. This one seems to take place primarily in the South America jungle. Although there is at least one flashback to when Lara is a child in England, and it's pretty adorable.
