Balasar "It matters not to me. I'm fine if we navigate by Selune's light. Waiting until day is also fine with me."

“I don’t know...if we’re going to have a good night’s sleep, I’d rather have it in the inn rather than on the ground...” Fosco pipes in. “Wait, we ARE heading to town, right?”

The party returns to the townmaster hall, where Sildar Hallwinter awaits. "Ah, you are back. And in greater numbers, I see," the older man observes. "Tell me, have you had any luck in finding the location of Cragmaw Castle...or the missing Iarno Albrek? I fear that the longer both he and Gundren are missing, the less likely they will be recovered alive."

"We have a vague idea where the castle is," Orianna admits as she hands the letter to Sildar. "We have one more lead to follow to hopefully get a more precise idea as to where the castle is. As for Albrek, well, I would suggest you read that letter," she says with a sigh.

Balasar trying not to overstep clears his throat "Yes the ahem source is semi-reliable we found a goblin prisoner in the slavers cavern hideout and asked him about the castle however his information was uh i suppose rather vague to be the correct term for his broken common way of telling us."

"Letter?" Sildar asks, puzzled, as he takes it. He looks it over and frowns. "What is this? It's addressed to Iarno, but signed by the Black Spider. Why would...? Oh, dear," he says, as the realization sinks in. "I think I need to sit down." Looking around, he finds a chair and does just that. "I cannot believe it...Iarno, a traitor to the Lord's Alliance. This is most troubling news. But wait, where is he now? Dead, I assume?"

Balasar shrugs "I was taken prisoner so I didn't get far so I can't tell you much other than what lead to my capture and then these folks breaking me out and what happened after."

"No, he got away," Orianna says. "But we did manage to clear out the Redbrand hideout," she says.

"Oh, dear," Sildar says. "If he escaped then...this will almost certainly not be the last we will have heard from him. I fear he will turn up again, sooner or later. Well, I suppose it cannot be helped. I asked you to learn his fate, and you did that. I won't hold it against you that the answer was not one I wanted to hear." He hands the party 200 gold pieces. "Thank you for your service. And please, let me know if you learn the exact location of Cragmaw Castle. I worry poor Gundren is running short on time at this point."

"We have one more lead to follow when it comes to the castle, but once we learn of it, we will be sure to tell you," Orianna says as she accepts the gold. She bows her head to Sildar, and then leads the group towards the guildmaster. She does take the time to split the money between the party though.

Balasar "If we see Iarno again we will do our best to not let him get away."
