"That's a pretty big deal!" Liala exclaims. "Congratulations. When do you leave? Wow, I don't think anyone in town, other than Tavos' mother and the reeve, have even seen the baron's daughter before."

"What do you mean, 'visited by Gonto?" Rorak asks, scratching at his beard. He's clearly intrigued. "A vision, like what Acolyte Glun gets? What did you see? And it was just now?"

"I came here to pray for guidance, and - Kohen - she appeared in person, in the form of a woman in golden armor with a purple cloak. She was tall, and beautiful, with glowing green eyes."

"It won't be until winter is over," Ladonna explains. "But, on top of giving us the job to take care of his daughter while she is in Hart, he also bestowed a gift upon me," she says with a grin. "I'm to be knighted."

"This is an...impressive turn of...events," Ingot adds. "With a...title, you can...work to restore...your family name."
Katya"Interesting," the kohen says. "It's not unheard of for Gonto to appear to non-clergy, but...it is unusual. What did she say, lass?"

"Providing that I do well in Hart," Ladonna says with a grin and nod of her head. "But would the two of you like to go as well?" she asks. "We would have to work out something since I am the one asking you and not the Baron."

“Well, I wasn’t sure how I felt about tying myself to one person for several years,” Lillian admits. “And since we were talking about leaving Buho, I figured I should let you know. You’d be free to come along, but the baron tells us the stipend was only offered to us, so I’d be paying you a portion.”

Ladonna Liala responds first, as Ingot remains silent in thought.
"Go with you? To Hart?" It takes her a moment to process all of this. "I've never been anywhere other than Buho before. I mean, I've heard of Hart, of course. Will we get to see the castle? I've heard it's shaped like a star. Goodness, if we're protecting the baron's daughter, then would that mean we'd live in the castle? Wait, my parents...I've never been apart from them before. But...it's only for a few years, right? And then there's..." She hesitates and looks over her shoulder, across the room to Marcus. He is sitting and talking with a young human woman. She laughs at something he says, reaching over to touch his arm as she does so. Liala scowls, then frowns, then turns back to Ladonna. "Okay, I'm in."
Lillian "Me, go to Hart?" Finbul repeats. He thinks it over for a bit. "I don't know how useful I'd be in a big town. Hart doesn't need a protective hedge; they've got solid stone walls, after all. On the other hand...there's nothing tying me here, that's for sure. Except maybe Anara. But she can always find a new apprentice. To be honest, I'm not sure there's all that much left for her to teach me anyway."

"From my understanding, the Baron's daughter is being sent to Hart so that she can learn how to be a Baroness," Ladonna explains. "She is marrying a count's son, so I'm not sure if we are staying in the castle or not, but I'm sure that we will get the chance to see it," she says thoughtfully. She follows her friend's gaze to Marcus for a moment, and watches him flirt with yet another girl. "You'll have more opportunities in Hart," she tries to assure her before she looks to Ignot. "What about you?" she asks.

Ladonna Ingot takes several moments to gather his thoughts. "I am not...sure how my...parents will react...to the idea...of my leaving...before my apprenticeship...is complete or...the wedding has...gone through. However...now that I...am sixteen years...of age, I...am considered an...adult and can...make my own...choices to a...certain degree, anyway." There is another long pause here. "I believe that...protecting the baron's...daughter is an...important and serious...duty. I would...be honored to...assist in that...endeavor."

"Hmm, I see," Rorak says, stroking his beard. "Awfully vague...and difficult to interpret. But I will pray on this, and see if I can gain more insight. I suggest you do the same. It seems you will play an important role in Gonto's Grand Plan, though, and there is no higher honor or responsibility."
