Katya "There is more to life than training and worship," Mereida says. She holds up a hand in protest. "But fair enough. I am not looking to argue on this day, of all days." Changing the subject she says, "I was thinking...when the snows melt and spring arrives, the wedding could be held then. Perhaps even on the Equinox itself. What do you think?"

Katya considers her response seriously and offers it thoughtfully. "I am not sure we should plan a wedding before the match has been approved by the church."

"I really don't even know where to begin," Ladonna admits with a sigh before she looks at Lillian. "So...what was it you wanted to talk about?"

"I really don't even know where to begin," Ladonna admits with a sigh before she looks at Lillian. "So...what was it you wanted to talk about?" “Liala, you were very clearly contemplating on striking Katya with that dart,” Lillian says bluntly. “Coated with a sleeping or paralysis poison, I expect? Not only that, but you’ve been avoiding her quite blatantly. I understand that you’d be wary of her, seeing as she stabbed you, but this is a different Katya, and a different situation. We can’t let anyone know we know more than we let on; besides, I personally think we can trust her. Worst case, if she betrays us, we won’t be taken by surprise.”

"She might be different in this timeline," Ladonna says softly. "But she still capable of doing what she did," she points out before she starts whispering. "We need to get her in check before something similar happens again. I don't know about the two of you, but I have every intention of telling her that I know her little secret," she says.

Ladonna and Lillian "Ladonna's right," Liala says. "The other Katya was willing to kill us all just because a stranger praised the Mad God in front of her. She would have joined up with Ghalt again in this timeline if not for the fact that he didn't mention his faith until after he was in custody. It's only a matter of time before she does betray us again. We need to be ready for it."
Katya Mereida snorts. "Are they still dragging their feet on that? This is outrageous, no other marriage has been forced to wait so long for approval. I need to have a word with the kohen. Does he and the rest of the church not understand I am old, and would very much like to attend my daughter's wedding before I pass on?"

"Don't talk like that. You're not even fifty yet. We're going to have you round for plenty more time."

The way Buho’s church interprets her teachings isn’t exactly the best way, in my opinion. The point is, I can tell she started following Crizza because she wants to change Tardiff for the better, and she saw an opportunity to do that with Ghalt. Was her choice rash and misguided? Yes. But I don’t think that makes her a bad person.”

"Lillian, she was willing to kill all of us for the Mad God," Ladonna says slowly. "That is more than just misguided, and it really does make someone a bad person if you are willing to kill a whole bunch of people. Admittedly, this one is different at the moment, but as I said she is capable and we need to be cautious."

Admittedly, this one is different at the moment, but as I said she is capable and we need to be cautious." “Do you honestly believe she’s going to kill us all, here in town, without warning or provocation?” Lillian retorts angrily. (though careful to not let anyone else hear her) “Look, I don’t deny that you have every right and need to be cautious, but you don’t need to go out of your way to avoid her! That’s suspicious, and-and a betrayal of friendship!” “And don’t even think about blackmailing her!”

"And I haven't gone out of my way to avoid her," Ladonna says with a sigh. "But I also haven't had the chance to really speak to her either because of my new situation in which I am still adjusting to," she explains. "How everyone else treats her, that is up to them. I can't really blame them for it."

Ladonna and Lillian"No, her trying to murder us was what makes her a bad person," Liala argues. "It's easy for you to say, you weren't the one who got impaled by that sword of hers. If not for Garnet's healing, I'd be dead now. And if not for the fact that Ghalt created that portal and the whole temple nearly fell down on top of us, she would have killed you, too."
"Probably not, but if she was willing to do it when the opportunity arose, she'll do it in this timeline, too, if that opportunity arises again," Liala says.
(OOC: Horizons, Gravity sent you a whisper in his last post but used the wrong name, so you didn't see it. I've fixed it, so it should be visible to you now.)
Katya"Nobody knows what the future will bring," Mereida says. She looks like she is going to say more, but then just shakes her head. "I just want to see you happy, that's all," she says instead.

"Do you?" Katya asks. Her tone is not accusatory. It's inquisitive. She has something on her mind and is asking for permission to talk about it.

Ladonna takes a drink from her glass that she has been holding this whole time before she starts speaking softly again. "I'm going to do what needs to be done to keep her in check for the time being, especially if we continue to work with her," Ladonna says. She doesn't outright say she won't blackmail Katya, but she doesn't outright say she will either. "I can promise you that your method of simply leaving her alone will not work, and I'm not going to risk the rest of us just because you can justify her actions."

Lillian sighs at Ladonna. “Fine. But operate with discretion. You never know what ‘that’ might spur her to do.”
