I like more the second option- if there nothing behind Srill, then well. Why NOT just to try and slip into Hunner's identity? No evil overlord to be loyal to.
A conspiracy to revive the White dragonarmy, or some other scheme... That give some conflict.

Okay, so we can reduce the years he was missing from 9 to 3. And we can say someone else sent him on his mission instead of the White Dragonarmy. Anything else?

So, I know that I replied to Grubnick. Not sure if it was missed or not.

alright I'm starting to get lost the "invisible" posts are a wee bit of a distraction (not too much but slightly) but I am very lost and will need to apparently read back on what I missed. As I've no idea what we are supposed to be doing it appears some are playing a board game or something and Regar is alone in his room? I d k anymore.

The party has returned to Castle Eastwatch to report to Lord Broadblade, the knight who sent them on the wicthlin quest. In exchange for completing this quest, Broadblade agreed to allow Hunner to see his wife and kids again (whom he abandoned a few years ago). Dame Reynolds, another knight, showed the party to some rooms for the night, then asked to speak with Hunner privately. He agreed, and they are presumably still having that conversation. Meanwhile, Ravarie asked Grubnick to her room to have a private conversation with him. Chatty and Kori went to the library to search for secret passages. And Sorrith, Lalora and Zalura retired to their rooms. So Regar left by himself in the hallway. A maid asked him if he needed anything, he said no, then he went into his room to go to sleep.
That's pretty much it for this chapter.

Ok guess I didn't miss much then I was just confused with all the posting and I had no idea where Regar fit into any of it.

How he fits in, if at all, really depends on you and what you have him do.
But overall, this specific chapter is dedicated to Hunner and his backstory. And since Igordragonian can't post all that often, the main story will likely be pretty slow, so for everyone else, this is basically a breather chapter, a chance to do some roleplaying or work on your characters' goals or just take a bit of a break after the hectic undead-filled forest the party just dealt with.

Honestly not even sure what to "work on" for goals I have a hard time coming up with character goals was never a thing I have had to deal with until on here so still very foreign to me and not always as "simple" to make up. As for RPing being the outsider that was just kind of brought in for the previous adventure it's hard to figure out whom Regar would even attempt to socialize with, after all he just met the group and already socialized with a stranger dwarf not really knowing what else to do.
I'm probably portraying the outsider bit a little too much I guess.

Whatever works for you is fine. I designed this game to largely be a sandbox, so the party decides on what the story is, and what plothooks to follow. Right now, we're working on Hunner's stuff, and then we'll likely do Ravarie's after that.

Grubnick is prone to the company of dwarves, so that could be an avenue if Regar is inclined to tolerate him ^_^
As for Grubnick, his mid-log term goal of returning/maintaining balance is tilting towards helping with the Kagoesti situation

Honestly I think right now for Regar he has left home for a reason and accomplished it but also created some sort of moral dilemma after dealing with the necromancer dwarf now undead but still very much unlike normal undead. The dwarf now is questioning what he was taught in his priesthood/order/clerical training. He also at this point wouldn't mind making some friends and helping other places discovering new strange things and trying to help resolve them like the group had just done. How does that pan out for a goal? Grubnick is tolerated really anyone is to Regar he just went to the first familiarity of another dwarf in that last location as it was pretty much all he knew was dwarves and living with them. Grubnick is off to a good start in bringing ale. Grubnick knows the way to a dwarf's heart apparently.

Both Grubnick and Regar would remember Kelye saying the following here: So not a priest at all, but a wizard. He also used several arcane spells during the battle, such as Chill Touch and Spectral Hand.
