Overall, the summer's been fairly mild for the most part, but this week has been miserable. Especially since there's no AC up here. No joke, I think I started to feel some minor heat sickness symptoms earlier today at work; I felt really nauseous and fatigued. But maybe that was just because I got so little sleep (even the nights have been upper 60s). Anyway, I don't think any hits would turn into misses, but some of the damage might have been reduced. I'll go over the numbers tomorrow after work.

Okay, so in Round 09, Troll 04 attacked Ratt three times. At that point in time, Ratt had full HP (11). The first attack was an 8 and did 7 damage. Applying the prayer penalty (-1 hit/dmg) means it still hit but it did 6 damage instead. So Ratt dropped to 5 HP instead of 4. The second attack was a 13 and did 8 damage. Still hits, but does 7 damage instead. So Ratt still falls, but to -2 HP. The third attack was automatic (as Ratt was down), but it does 4 damage instead of 5, so by that point Ratt would be at -6 HP instead of -9 HP.
Thus when Round 10 ends, Ratt will have bled to -7 HP, and therefore is still alive at least for another three rounds. So I'll update his HP to reflect that.
As for Chatty, in Round 09, she was at 9 HP. Troll 05 attacked her three times. The first attack missed. The second attack was a critical hit (because it was a natural 20, it's still a crit, even with a -1 modifier), but instead of doing 10 damage it dealt 9 damage. That was still enough to drop her (but to 0 instead of -1). It then bit her for 12 damage, which would have been reduced to 11. This would have placed her at -11 HP instead of -12, but that's still death, so nothing changes there.
So Ratt is still alive, for now, but Chatty remains dead, I'm afraid.

While we still aren't as bad off as the south, the PNW just isn't equipped for upper 90's heat. Most places up here don't have AC because it typically never got that hot. When I first moved up here, it didn't break the upper 80's. It was a little uncomfortable, but it was doable. Last summer, we hit over 108 or something like that. I'm very thankful this summer has been relatively mild (mid to upper 70's for the most part). July and August are our drought months though, and according to the forecast, after Sunday, things should start cooling down again.

Wow, yeah 108 sounds like something down here. Yeah it is tough to shake off the heat when there is no AC, i definitely agree. Hope you feel better soon. Hydrating, taking advantage of shade and not pushing yourself are the best ways to avoid it. That said, being at work you don't always have good control over that. I have worked in a couple of melt shops (steel and aluminum) it can catch up to you if you aren't careful Yay, ratt is still in it! Shame about Chatty though

Okay, well it's been three days so we'll have to move forward without Gravity's turn. I'll begin the update now.

I work in a new, state of the art, casino, and apparently the AC is treated like it is gold or something. It doesn't help that my uniform is a long sleeved shirt. I've been so tried and cranky the past week due to this weather. Matter of fact, on Thursday or Friday, I woke up hot and sick to my stomach. It didn't matter how much water I drank. I ended up taking a cold shower, and that sick feeling went away after that. I have adopted taking a cold shower since that day so that I wouldn't be too overheated.

ooc: at this point I am unsure what to do since I'm just kind of biding time for someone to burn the troll.

You could also use a healing spell on someone. Ratt, or Sorrith seem logical choices. Grubnick's taken some minor damage, too.

Ok are any of those actual players or are they just NPC/Henchmen? Other than Grubnick that is.

Ratt is Grubnick's mule. Sorrith is Ravarie (Horizon's) Elven henchman (The windrider hoping to train a griffon)

Just a head's up, Greywolf, but as Bear Fang has already been revived from near death, no further magical healing will effect him until he's had a long rest, as per the rules of Hovering on Death's Door from the DMG:
So you can change your action to something else if you want.
