Once settled on the seat, Chert turns to the wagon driver, "Chert here. Granitecutter by name, wizard by trade. I'll be working from your seat here, so try not to jostle me too much if things get fighty." He smiles a toothy grin and sticks his small, callused hand out to shake.

The teamster looks at Chert sideways while chewing on some leaf, leans over the other way a spits some vile dark slime onto the ground. "Uh-huh" is all he gets in response.
The column of soldiers peel off and return halfway through the first day. The ride is fast and uneventful on the first day. The night brings camp and watches are set. The cleric of Wee Jas casts his spell, summoning a semi-sphere that can fit him and the party (including Sam and Dean) along with the merchants (OOC: Justin Tyme determine the color of your Tiny Hut). It is warm and dry inside.
Watches are posted, and the teamsters begin to tend to the draft horses - leaving the wagons on the trail. They elect to sleep beneath their wagons after hobbling the horses to the wagons.
The merchants look to the party, wondering how watches are to be set - they will not participate in such things.

"Nice hut," Marik comments, as he does a few minor stretches to get the kinks out after a full day of riding. "I'll take the first watch," he volunteers.

The wizard casts the Tiny Hut to match the color of the surrounding foliage. He will explain that he must remain inside but he also has a spell that will allow the party to have a complete nights rest in one hour. Since this is approximately how long it would take to set up camp, he will cast the Tiny Hut then the Nap spell. This will allow the entire 4 man team to keep watch all night.

Wethun nods to Marrik and then looks to the lighter furred of his twin hounds. “Sam, you guard The Marrik. Guard the Marrik. Dean and I can take the second shift.”
He looks to the magical hut and smiles slightly wryly. Magic always made him a rad uncomfortable, but he would likely have a grand night sleeping in that thing.

"Shouldn't be a problem," Marik says, crossing his arms. "Plus, it's only our first night out from Greatwall, so I doubt anything will bother us. Not until we get further out, I'd guess."

Chert smiles in awe at the magic Draz casts. Far flashier than most of his own spells, but clearly useful. He settles down in a spot out of the firelight, his staff across his knees, and stares out into the night. He'll slip into the shelter later to study his own spells and catch a rest to be ready for the next day.

The camp is set up and all preparations go well. Stories are shared by firelight as meals are eaten. The sense of security is broken when Sam and Dean - the dogs - become agitated. They start sniffing the air and the hairs on the back of their necks bristle. They start to growl as they face a threat out of firelight away from the 'hut' and fire towards where the horses are. The horses begin to panic as they detect the threat as well. A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O PThe threat is coming from the NE form P1 on the map and we will say the light green "tree" is the tiny hut centered on G13. The other wagon is in the middle of the two. Neither group is surprised.

"Looks like I might have been wrong," Marik admits. He exits the hut and pulls out his new bow, nocking an arrow and keeping an eye out toward the northeast, waiting to see what might emerge from the darkness.

Wethun clicked his tongue and uttered a quick “Come.” He rubbed the marble at his neck and whispered a word to activate its powers. He drew his weapons; he and the dogs then slipped off to the northwest to flank whatever was out in the darkness.
He tried to make eye contact with one of the other party members as he went. Gesturing with hands and head to try and express his intent. Hopefully, someone understood.

The raven reports that there are creatures like Sam and Dean in trees by P1. Dra confirms the figures are wolves as he questions his familiar and there are six total. The wolves advance in two groups - one group moves to C8, D7, and E6 while the other group moves to J5, K6, and L7.
The party's initiative as the wolves are intent on the first horses.

"Protect the horses!" Marik calls out. He looses an arrow at the wolf at E6, then draws and nocks a second arrow and fires again.

Wethun and the hounds would charge into the group closest to them, the Wolves at C8, D7, and E6. He hoped they would be quiet on the approach, but was certain the beasts would be aware of his approach regardless. The dogs would be directed towards on wolf to pull down and savage as a group, he would take the next and if able move to the third.
